So it would be pretty awesome having a 49ccScoot group on facebook too, share some "diy tip of the day" and daily scoot pics, etc... just a thought

I don't do Facebook. I was on there once 4 years ago and got kicked off because I said I did not like what our current President was doing...no cursing...no name calling...and I was banned for 30 days. Of course, there were tons of nasty stuff on there about our previous President...but I guess that was OK. Well, I told them don't worry about it, I will not be back and I never have been and never will.

I had a 49ccScoot account linked to my own, but I deactivated mine and therefor it. I get annoyed by bookface and everyone's strong and highly self-valued opinions and the drama that creates. I've had people that I've known for many years and would never argue with trying to argue with me. I can see the same people face to face and have no issues. I swear it brings out the worst in people.
I've always had no issues sharing pics, stories, and tips on the forum so I haven't really seen the necessity of maintaining the facebook page. It's supposed to help "marketing" or "presence", but everyone in the group found it through the forum so it didn't seem to work for me. If there's a huge outcry for a fb page, maybe I'll reactivate. I have the forum, YouTube, and email to keep me busy though, so I don't have a desire for additional outlets for daily questions.

Facebook.... the place you go to see old high school classmates who you really don't give a shit about, and would probably never talk to in real life. Facebook gets annoying. Damn political posts, stupid videos, lame jokes repeated over and over... Yeah anymore I use it for the messenger app.

I quit going to Facebook a few years ago. All it is is invites to join some stupid game, or swap in-game stuff. I could care less at what time of day someone goes to take a dump! There is such a thing as too much information!

I was gonna say something negative against "zuckmeister" but didn't want to get snipered from 3/4 of a mile away by some secret nsa special op group that secretly filters all important peoples names waiting for a negative comments to pop up and they trace your ip address and the next thing you know you mysteriously end up dead or on the back of a milk carton or a pre sorted mailer with the infamous "Have you seen me???!!! J/k you never know though!!!lol

Maybe it might be a conspiracy, but damn, Facebook knows everything about you. Who your friends are, who your kids are, where you live, where you work, what you do for fun, who your relatives are, what you watch, what your political views are.. Hell, the FBI doesn't need to watch over you, all they gotta do is entice you into using Facebook and you'll willingly tell them everything they need to know. And what people don't realize, is that privacy setting is a joke. Like say you only let friends and nobody else view your shit.. Yeah, maybe that might be the case, but your shit is still in a database for the powers to be to look at. That's why, IMHO, Facebook is ONLY GOOD for stupid games, not for sharing things about yourself and your life.

Many websites deposit Facebook tracking cookies in your browser. They are very difficult to avoid. Firefox has some tools available to help stop them but some get by the application. Facebook is an Orwellian nightmare.
BTW- I had a Facebook account for about two weeks then deleted it. It was an absolute nightmare.
