CVK Carbs

I was trained on EFI systems diagnosis and repair. When I started working on cars in about 1990 for a living, carbs and vac. tubes were on their way out. I am no carb expert. I understand theory on venturi type carbs, rebuilt lots of them back in my VW days (Solex Pict-1,2,3 and 2 bbl Dellorto etc..) but the CVK is a new one to me.
How do these things work exactly? What does "CVK" stand for? etc...

Pics, diagrams, videos would all be appreciated.
