I have a lead on this craigslist scooter It's a Bashan edge, the price is good, there is a title (unusual for these parts...I'm not saying most of them are stolen, buuuuuut - yeah. Most of them are stolen) The guy originally posted that it dies at idle, then he says it doesn't run at all. I'm thinking fuel problem. Also the blinker is stuck. Bad relay or faulty switch? Either way a simple fix. He even told me he would deliver it because I doubt it would fit in my yuppy minivan and he's from pick up truck town. I said I'd give him an extra 50 bucks for the trouble. Pro- 150cc scooter for a cheap price. Clean title Possible easy fix Con- still have to fix, could have bigger Issues. Need M endorsement, insurance and Tags It's still Chineese stlouis.craigslist.org/mcy/5781807224.htmlI can't pull the trigger until payday so it may be gone by then. Dare I risk the wrath of the wife and bring another scooter home? Do I dare take on another non running Mao-tercycle? Oh yeah, one more thing - it's yellow. I don't know if I want to look like I'm riding a big banana.

statistically you are less likely to be involved in a collision with a car if you are riding a bright colored bike. that is a good thing. if you can start successfully flipping the bikes in short order I'm sure your wife will get on board

Oh yes u are in deep now! Muwahahahahahaha. You could justify the $200 price tag with that the parts and titled frame alone would be worth that if you never did fix it and drive. Plus hey u get to play around with a one-fiddy!

That should be a cheap quick fix, valve adjustment and new or cleaned blinker switch and your down the road. Buy first then deal with the wife. She'll understand.

Yeah. But with my luck, it will be sold a day before payday or they will screw up my paycheck again.

I've changed my mind. I think I am going to get a Garelli Moped instead. I think I am going to convert it to a top tank. Late fall, winter project! The BBK will cost twice as much as the 'ped. and I may have to learn how to weld (i got a cheap welder from HF for Christmas). All my money will go to treatland instead of scrappydog.

Unless the engine is trashed, I would do this deal in a heartbeat if I had the cash. If nothing else, you get it...fix a few items and flip it and make $50-100 or more. Good luck whatever you decide. I never see stuff like this in my town or surrounding area. Bill

Blinker trouble might just be a burnt out bulb. I know when I first got my Spree, it had the same issue. I noticed the front bulb did not go on but the back one stayed lit. Opened up the lens on front, saw the bulb was just out of it's casing, put it back in, turn signals worked perfect. Either way, should be a super easy fix.

Hop on that deal even at $200! Sounds like easy to fix up, and you can flip it or keep it and have a nice 150cc.
