i took my triton to work today, a 10 mile run on country roads,, on the way home around 70f i come down a short step hill to a long flat, maybe 3/4 of mile. i get to a stop sign and the engine stalls, the same at a few more stops. when i pulled in the driveway and went to raise the idle, the carb was very wet with water. carb icing?

Sure sounds like it. I am assuming that the road was dry. I have seen this before on a beetle motor, which a scooter motor is really the same except smaller and 1cyl.

yes it sunny not wet, i checked this morning and found the carb did have condensation on it but the trouble was caused by the manual choke coming loose. dellorto clone carb, maybe i will need to safety wire it if it presents itself again..
