A few months back I asked for advice to not make my Chinese bike look so Chinese. There wasn't too much I could do I found out.
I took it upon myself to make it look slightly less pug fugly.
First off despite enjoying Sammy Hagar's work with Montrose and his solo stuff, I HATE RED! I also hate his stuff with Van Halen but that's for another post.
I painted the whole kit and kaboodle flat black. I was going to go with dark green but I had a lot of black rattle cans and I'm cheap. For a splash I painted the fender silver. I'm still not sure if I like it.
I also was not fond of the "bug anteni" mirrors. The were too short anyway so off they went. I replaced them with something a little more traditional. Now I can see the cars I'm holding up in traffic. I got one of those little trunk things too. It's a little smaller than most but I can throw some tools and gear in there. No word yet if it can haul a 12 pack.
I once had a 47mm bbk on the bike but it leaked. So I put the stock cylinder and piston back on. Then disaster struck. I broke my con rod and chunks of the engine ended up in the crank case. I swapped the engine with one from a $40 parts bike and just kept the stock engine.
So with no further adue:
