Well, I did an oil change as I do every 1000km as usual. I noticed white smoke from the exhaust after I finished and rode around the block. I figured it was just some oil that got on there burning off..
However, I can't seem to get the oil to the right level with the dipstick to measure.
I add a small amount (1/4th cup, even..) and it shows overfull. I ride a bit, it still shows it, so I siphon a little bit out (the same amount or so) and it shows low. I can't get it to show just right, which is strange as I've never had this problem before.
Any suggestions? This is really weird for me, as I've changed my oil more times than I can count with no issues. It seems to be riding okay on a positive note. It seems just siphoning a small amount (I'm using a gas siphon as I got tired of dropping the drain cap into the oil..) would make it be perfect.
I haven't the slightest.

Just drain all of your oil and then , add the amount as called for in the manual...on mine I think it is 900 ml..but I may be wrong. If you do that, you do not need to even use the dipstick at all. It didn't when have a manual, 50cc 2013 tmec. I use one of those measuring oil containers to make sure I use the right amount.. Shows even fractions of a quart. Frustrating, though. Now, sitting it shows right at the full line on the dipstick. After I ride in around the block again, who knows. Well, I did an oil change as I do every 1000km as usual. Exactly what I meant to use...Brent shows that in one, or more, of his videos and it is a great idea. The dipstick does not work unless your scoot is level, which is very hard to achieve because even on the center stand, it can tip forward, or back and either way this makes for a huge difference in the dip stick reading.

lol
I've had that problem before. Bill is right. Just tilting the scooter a teeeeeeeny bit can change the level on the dipstick a lot.

I fill to half way up the dipstick. When scoot is tipped back it shows full so I keep it at half and check every week or so

Wheels on level ground, hold scooter plumb, dipstick in, not screwed in, also it helps to keep the oil in a squeeze bottle. I put audi, porsche synthetic 5-50 in mine.
