Got it all off but the air vent on top of the valve cover....do I block it off or what? Air and oil comes out of it, I put the hose near the intake but it bogs down the engine. I've googled around but couldn't find a solid answer if this vent can be blocked off or not, I've read about vapor locking and some say reroute it to the airbox, which I don't have.
The hoses were getting dry rotted and vacuum leaking all over so I'd rather just pull the whole thing out instead of replacing a mess of hoses. All I need to replace now is the hose that goes from the intake manifold to the fuel petcock.
I just need some good advice on what to do with the valve head vent.

A,leave it open and loop a hose over next to your carb/gas drain hose, but leave it open. B,block it off but first get a oil filler venting unit. You have to let the pressure inside the engine fluctuate and or vent.

if you really want your crank bearings to fail you can block it off, otherwise leave it open. you can rout it into a catch can if needed so you don't get oil everywhere.

If Fox were still here, he'd show you a pic of a long hose zip tied to and running up the frame so that it's higher than the engine. This lets the oil travel up in the tube/hose while venting and just drain back down back into the engine/valve cover. IIRC he put a small air filter/fuel filter at the end of the hose so it can still breath but not let crap get it...
R.I.P. Fox.

I fashioned a oil catch can, with a fuel filter for a vent but I like niz illustration too. Thanks guys. A guy from the Ruckus Facebook page showed me this: ebay.com/itm/182026691937
