also, which contra spring should i get in the order I am about to put in? Its not likely that the cylinder is gonna slide off and the base gasket no be ruined.

I felt this when it happened and, amazingly it seemed to still run great just weird a bit of a loss in power Anyone ever seen this b4?

That's odd. Looks like very neat cuts and a nice squared off section collapsed if I'm seeing it right.

I wonder, to use my old piston and jug, until i can get another 50mm
I have a new 47mm here too.
What size contra spring should I get? im 175 lbs and the hills here arent mountains...more like ..slight grades /some hills

on the pic above of the piston face on- look at the bottom edge of the piston. Looks clean right? its been hitting the head. this would explain the problem. head needs to be worked over. Any problem with just putting the stock piston/rings/jug back on?
