So last week my friend Vince and i went to a local bike shop. I was going to finally buy a Kawasaki Vulcan that has been sitting at the dealer for months. Of course it sold the day before. loll Before we could make it out the door Vince spied a new Versys on sale and bought it on the spot. It's kind of a dual purpose sport bike. A coupe of days later he finally convinced me to give it a test ride and it erased any remaining impulse i had to buy something "low & slow". So today i picked up this beauty off of CL. And now Vince and i are having "Long Way Rond" fantasies.    And Vince's bike that started this...  |

*drool* Yah me too! I kept wanting to go out to the garage last night and just look at it. When i ride it i get the same feeling i used to get from riding the Triton. Light, flickable and easy to ride. |

Ok, first mods caus it's raining and i can't ride. Pulled the travel bags off. I'll only use them on long trips. Installed a smaller wind screen for a sleeker look. Removed the carbon fiber knee guards from the tank. (I want to see more red, surprise surprise).  Installed a cool set of gauges from Autozone that includes a compass, clock and thermometer.  |
