Stock 139QMB on left, Glixal A9 cam on right, upon installing and taking her out for a run down, I noticed take off and 0-30 suffered a bit but significant improvement in the higher RPM range. Still don't think I gained significant performance over the 80cc bbk, but I also lost compression with the bigger head. Pricing the airsal piston recommended by humanshield, trying to see if there will be valce clearance issues.

Got the new head installed and the engine mounted in the new frame. The original plan was to use the donor frame's front shocks and aluminum wheels, but the rims weren't in that good of shape, and the steel rims once repainted will look a lot better for the retro styling I'm going with, especially if I get the white walls I want. So I swapped the forks over with the wheels, with the added bonus being larger brakes, the pads are almost twice the size. I'll paint them black of course. Had to lose the stock gas tank, I wanted something at least a gallon in size to replace it, something barrel shaped, and I found this, steel, with 4 1/4"NPT ports already installed, have a filler neck welded on top, plug the two ports on the end (possibly mounting turn signals to them somehow), use the top port to fit a vent, and the bottom port for the fuel line. Mounting it across the frame members is one option, tucked up under between the frame members is another possible option.

Didn't know how this was going to turn out, and I'm not sure how much trouble I'll be in when my wife gets home and finds out I baked it in the oven, but I like it... VHT Wrinkle paint, bake at 200 for 20 minutes to cure.

Went ahead and did the rocker cover too, I like the way they turned out and once I get the engine and shroud painted with VHT Black Pearl, I think it will look pretty sharp. I decided to try and keep the stock tank so I'd have a working fuel gauge, I think I can make it work if I use a saddle to mount the seat springs so I'll play with position and then bolt it in place with a brace across the tank to that cross member in the back.

Exhaust arrived today, and it fit pretty dang good actually Careful with that muffler! I have broken two off because I didn't use the hanger/clamp support. Especially this one you are using, it's only riveted on the front, at least mine is welded. Last one broke off the exhaust header at the weld right by the muffler. I love the build so far! Lemme know about that Airsal piston, I've been pondering on it for a LONG time.

I just haven't fabricated the support for it yet, it will be one of the last pieces I make, pretty sure I'm wrapping the header and exhaust first.
No new piston either, in fact the 100cc kit is being replaced with an 80cc kit.

How is the glixal setup working for you so far. I just ordered the 80cc setup, with 20mm carb,23mm racing head, and a9 cam.

Glixal is just another rubber stamped importer, I haven't had problems with the cylinder/piston kits or carbs, the heads are junk. When I added the A9 to the 100cc set up got a definite boost on the higher end of things but never got it tuned in before I tore everything apart. I'm going to rebuild again with the 80cc, stock head and A9 and the 20mm carb and be happy.

I'm running an 80cc dmc brand bbk(72cc) with stock head and a9 cam. I was in love with it untill I installed an aftermarket exhaust and it robbed my acceleration. The pipe came from gy6store, it's a nice quality pipe but it has a 22mm bore. I'm gonna reuse it on a 52mm build and see if it is more suited.

When I pulled the 47mm kit at 3K, it showed signs of running rich, I ran a stick exhaust and the 20mm carb with a 90, so I figured the bigger exhaust would help wean it a bit, but it has a removeable restrictor on the muffler outlet so I can play a bit.

Nice build man, waiting to see the final product. I used to have a taotao and you just could not kill that thing. I had it running round 45-50mph HaD big bore, carb and hoca drive train.
