So i was riding my 50cc scoot that ive upgraded to a 50mm which is 83cc i think. While i was riding i lost a little bit of power and upon removing my seat plastics i noticed oil coming from the head gasket seam. So im thinking the rings either are just cheap and not sealing well along with the head gasket leaking, or when i was putting the piston in the rings slot lined up, i know i staggered them but maybe they moved putting it thru the jug. Any thoughts and help would be appreciated thanks. also can someone tell me the order of the 2 top rings thx

My guess your head gasket is broken or placed on wrong. You shouldn't be leaking out any oil out at all.

i just finished rebulding and the center ring was the culprit letting oil on the topside of the piston. thx

Did you use shellac, its head gasket sealer.

Well as some may have read on other treads still trying to get a hang of posting. I had failure to the 50mm jug, blowing oil, thru the crankcase vent back thru the carb. Happys it didnt blow thru cranks seals like i figure it would lol. With the airsal piston just like humansheild told me but im hard headed. The valve reliefs were not deep enough and smushing did occur but only on the intake valve both clearances were sit at .004 and I am pretty handy worked for a transmission shop etc. I figured i could do some kind of base gasket to lower compression and for piston clearance but i haven't found where to buy the thicker gasket, can i make one from gasket board? Anyone done this with success? HONESTLY i am having fun with trial and error. Since ive bought another scooter a PEACE SPORT I think complete but has plastic damage its a 12" tire bike with the long case. I pulled the top end off it cleaned it up and put on mine taotao it was recently upgraded so it was a 47mm jug and larger combustion chamber head stock size valves. I runs great no problems at all so far, but I want my 50mm on there. So my question is 1 could I run that head with a quality 50mm cylinder and just do a port job on it and find those thicker base gaskets if there is any. That would if im right (thats why im writing this long post becuase you guys have great advice and ideas about the scoot world) that will get my valve to piston cleared up and would lower compression enought to only need a standard vent tube for crankcase pressure. The head thats on it now is naraku brand which im told was like $140 so ports it you think and run it? Put that save in money on somemore cool stuff gearing?lol? I was also wondering If anyone has a good kit to order body plastics? Thx again guys your a big help!! P.S. The 50mm jug as the piston were really cheap chinesse crap so im guessing its fact that you should stay clear of these parts? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png)
