Hey guys I'm new to this site. And a little new to scooters. I picked up a eagle sporty 50 a while back for 300. I put a new battery in it. And fixed the flat tire. Started right up. Seemed to idle steady. Went on a ride. It was quick off the line and could get up to 30 pretty fast. after running at 30 for a minute it would start to bog out. I would pull over and it would die. But would start back fine and drive, but die again.
So far I have checked for any restrictors. I also went in and set the valves to a .004 intake and a .005 exhaust. Still dying. so I moved to the carb. took it apart and cleaned( jets, etc..) when I put it back on it was having a hard time running /idling. After many attempts to reassemble the carb, I just purchased a new one. put it on and started right up. Stays running only problem now is the bike has lost all acceleration. I tried tuning the F/A screw but still nothing. It feels like it wants to run but its bogging and being held back.
any ideas would be great. I just wanna get this bad boy running quick again. :sos:

If it was mine: I would check the fuel supply, starting at the tank, looking for collapsed lines, checking my fuel filter and vacuum petcock. I would also inspect my intake manifold for cracks (right beside the clamp that holds the carb on).

I read a post a little while back that claimed his fuel cap area, vents that allow the tank to take air in were plugged .its worth a check. His thoery was. That after a few minutes running on wot would create a vacum in the tank. Take a look.....

I think the old carb might have a bad diaphragm and the new carb is jetted wrong for your air filter. Try the old carb with the new diaphragm or swap main jet from the old carb to the new and try it with the air filter attached.

cool thanks guys. I was thinking to just replace the petcock. The fuel filter seems to not be filling up with gas. when it idles it barely spits into the filter chamber. when I give it throttle it spits a little faster. But not really filling the filter up. I will try the old Mjet on the new carb. thats a good possibility.
