2AM, I need to be up at 6AM to be at the hospital with my wife, a surgery consult, the first step in dealing with her newly diagnosed breast cancer. We found out two days before Thanksgiving, wasn't going to say anything but I've been cranky and edgy, don't want to offend. My wife is even insisting I move forward on a planned scooter purchase, todays riding tells me maybe sating off two wheels for awhile would be better. I find myself being overly assertive and just looking for an idiot. Which pretty much makes me a danger to myself and others and no good to my wife.
I'd just feel a lot better if the enemy in this fight was someone I could jack slap.
3 weeks ago we were planning our move and looking at retail space back home, just couldn't get out of 2016 with our butt's intact I guess.
Into the maelstrom we go...

Sorry to hear. I sense'd something was up with a few of your past posts. The best you can do is just hang in there and take one day at a time.

Sorry to hear about your trouble's. There is no easy way to deal with these things. You just have to have hope that soon things will get better. Take one day at a time, and be there for each other. My wife is expecting to have an operation over the next few weeks. She has been in terrible pain the last couple of years. It is so bad she is now on morphine. Its never easy, and at times really hard for both of us. Seeing her in so much pain, and feeling like she has let me down as we are finding it hard financially is not a good place to be. I hope things go well for you.

I would suggest staying off two wheels for different reasons. like the last thing she needs right now is you getting hurt or killed riding your scooter.
no disrespect intended. my mother just recently died from cancer, and she needs you more than ever right now.

The consultation with the surgeon was amazingly good. The tumor is small, in the earliest stages, barring any surprises during surgery or the genetic screening, the surgeon believes a lumpectomy and radiation will kick it's ass. The surgery is Monday, I suddenly feel the need to get Christmas lights up, and snow is on the way next week. Time to put the scoot in the shop for the winter, get the snow blower out and look forward to the best time of year.
Thanks all for the prayers and well wishes.

Just got home, been at the hospital since 8 this morning.
Surgery went very well with no problems at all, the lymph nodes came back negative for cancer, and the surgeon said the tumor removal was a textbook example of the best outcome, start radiation in a week, but she's confident we kicked ass in round one ")

My wife insisted we keep moving forward from day one, she even insisted I get a hold of a guy I'd been talking to and make an offer on his scooter. She's an amazing woman really. Been through more than most already, and still swinging, still fighting for others.

So Monday I took my mother for a biopsy and I started thinking here we go again, still haven't got the results back yet, and thankful for my wife's ultimate outcome with her breast cancer. Tuesday, my wife's doctor called, she'd had some female problems they thought were a side effect of the hormone treatment for the breast cancer, they appear to be correct, the side effect being endometrial cancer, went in for the biopsy today with the understanding it was pretty much just for confirmation before surgery.
I got no faith left in me at this point, runs dry when heaven rains shit.
