So here is the scoop. 8" of 2" PVC pipe @$9.50 for 10ft. So call it a $1 for the pipe. 2 PVC end caps(2") @ 1.32 each or $2.64 total. 2 M10 nuts, $.68 for a bag of 2 2 M12 nuts, $1.74 for a bage of 3 5/8" nuts, 4 @ $.35 each or total $1.40 5/8" x 12" long threaded rod @2.27 5/8" washer $.33 Total hardware roughly 11 bucks with tax.(I thought id be closer to $20) I welded the the 2 M10 and M12 together to get as much thread contact on the crankshaft. They were welded together on the crankshaft so the threads matched each other. Then I welded the 5/8 nut to both assembles and cleaned up the welds(grinding). Then I welded a 5/8 nut to the end of the threaded rod.(I am working on a different version of the adapter ends so you can make without welding) I glued one of the pvc end caps to the pipe. Once dried I cut the very end of the cap off. I did this to reinforce then end to keep it from possibly cracking. Then I drilled the center of the other cap and glued it to the other end. End results. I put the last 5/8 on the end of the threaded rod and clamped it in the vice. I was able to pull the nut out of the vices grip. Note: I did not use everything in the first picture/post. I had a couple different ideas in my head in which way I was going to make this.
