I was trying to think of a good fix for my stock plug wire that kept coming loose and wouldn’t cost me a dime, well I found one. Stock plug wire I was at the junkyard getting rid of some scrap and just thought to grab some old plug wires (I needed one for my lawn mower) and grabbed this one I unscrewed the stock plug wire from the coil and screwed in the one from the junkyard then i pulled the rubber grommet from the stock plug wire an super glued it to the junkyard wire I had to find the thing that screw onto the plug to hold this type of plug wire, luckily I had a bunch of them and after a few short trips I checked to see how well it was staying on. Good news it takes quite a bit of force to pull it off. No more loose plug wire comming off during a ride.

thats awesome...I am having the same problem. The scoot I got had some spare parts, and some of the parts from it under the seat...one was a brand now looking boot...but the plastic was shot. The wire on the scoot had good plastic but the wire that holds it onto the plug was shot...so I unscrewed the brass insert from the new looking one and placed it in the old boot...it seems to be working...but I never thought of doing this. I do have a question...one boot had a spring under the brass...and one had a small tube looking thing..not sure what it was made of...whats the difference?

not sure, mine had a spring and solid tub thing under the brass. not sure how it went back together but either way worked (spring on top, spring on bottom). i just got tired of the scoot running crappy when the plug wire was about to fall off and haveing to pull over an push it back on only to do it again after 20-30mins rideing

ah ok.. because my scooter was working fine until i wanted to check the plug.
i pulled off the lead but i think the end of the plug stayed in there...
like the end of the plug didn't look normal to me it had threads on it. (i assume it should look similar to a car plug)
then when i put it back, it started to go all weird.
