Hi everyone and happy new year. With my last scooter purchase a x6 pocket bike was included and i gave it to my step- nephew cause to be honest I don't thin k my old crippled butt could get on or off of it.this kids only 9 or 10 ...maybe. were hoping the bike might gain him an interest in something plus provide some new found father son bonding as this is a recent addition step son for my brother in law. I never seen the bike, I had my son in law drop it off on the way home with my newest addition(daelim s5). He's having carb issues with it and don't know anything about scooters or bikes, he owns racecars. From the pics and little info I've got on all I can tell is that it's a 49cc 2t pocket rocket with x6 and some flames on it. Anyone know anything about these, who makes them, engine type or anything? What are any GOOD sites to join? Kinda like this one is the only go to for scooters, as i found from reading thousands of uninformed post from other sites. Also are there any reputable parts houses or just ebay sellers speaking broken english telling you "yes it fit". " "yes this holley 1200 dominator fit your kind scooter" lmao you know what i mean. Thanks guys any step in the right direction is a help and a start.

I don't really recall who makes them other than China. They call them midbikes or super pocket bikes usually. There are bikes from X1 up to at least X19, as well as what used to be very popular called the cateye that are all in the same family. From around X7-8 down, they had 49cc 2T piston port engines. Some of the higher of those (maybe 6-7-8) also had options for 4T pitbike engines, but the ones that had the 2Ts (including the cateye) should all have the same style of engine so any help for those should be good for you. That stuff is helpful to know, because you won't always find an X6 issue specifically addressed, but maybe there will be info from someone with an X1 or X2... much like how we rely on engine specific info for our scoots, more than model specific with our Chinese stuff.
Their powerplants are kinda similar to stuff like weedeaters. I never really had carb troubles with my 2Ts as long as I owned them, aside from just needing to get the screws set right, but with similar carbs on lawn equipment I have found an ultrasonic cleaner helpful. Maybe it's just me, but I can carb cleaner and air blast the crap out of them and find that symptoms still won't go away, so I toss 'em in my $60 Harbor Freight ultrasonic cleaner and a lot of times they come out working well again.
I used to be a member of PocketBikePlanet. Years ago the midbike community was active. I can't tell you what it's like now, but look there.
scooterparts4less, pocketbikesunlimited, Dave's Motors (DDM), and ADA Racing are a few parts sellers that come to mind.

Thanks alot I'll pass on the info and check the site out myself. The kid seems excited (so am i!) to get this thing going and he is already into the thoughts of learning to turn wrenches on it in the shop. Thanks again 90!
