That reminds me of an old story, little different scenario though. I have two friends that are brothers. The oldest had a loaded pistol somewhere in the house. The youngest got it one day and held it up in the air and fired it. He didn't know it was loaded and didn't check. IIRC the youngest was about 10-11 at the time. He shot through the ceiling and into their mother's room above. She was sleeping there and somehow never woke up.  The oldest patched the ceiling and I guess she never noticed the carpet and she never knew. As long as he lived with her, the oldest kept spackle and stuff around to fill holes in the walls from roughhousing and whatnot. She hardly ever knew about any of it. We once broke a window in the front door and he put saran wrap over it. She came in and out of it every day and never noticed, but he eventually put glass in it. Of course the oldest then took his mom's car all the time in the middle of the night, because obviously he didn't have to worry too much about waking her up coming or going. |
