Dealer Prep/PDI for a GS scooter. When i got my scooter home "I" did a quick PDI just to see.. Found one exhaust cover screw that needed to be tightened and im O.K. with that. However most all bolts where marked with a paint pen from the factory.
And a small review of the 2015 roughhouse sport when it first come out.(his doesn't have 'Sport'- but it is') 2016 was the same with only the marking decal being "SPORT" in red.(refer to my user name pic)

Over here it was not until the Chinese scooter's started being imported by Internet company's that we had a choice. Was a bit of a boom for a couple of years, as they could sell them so cheaply. But with no backup and hit and miss spares it dfid not last long. Still a couple of places where you can buy and PDI yourself but really its buying from a dealer now. A lot of small bike shops sell Chinese scooter's with spares backup, and a warranty. The price is two or three times what it used to be though. When I brought the Aerox the price was £2,000. It had been knocked down £100 to the standard price because it was a previous years special addition. Talking to the dealer they would not move on the price as they were selling them for near cost price anyway. Even though I had brought a couple of motorcycles from them previously including a new GSXR made no difference.

I so wish I had a yellow Aerox...
Did that yellow coincide with any anniversary edition?

I so wish I had a yellow Aerox... My Did that yellow coincide with any anniversary edition? That's the one. They did an R1, R6 and an Aerox. Mine was standard, but had the anniversary paint and the uprated gas rear shock. Was the same spec as the Rossi rep.

I bought a Genuine Buddy 50 scooter from a dealership, it was $1999 MSRP and my dealer added $250 to the price. I added a windshield, blackout kit , and 70cc kit, tax, and out the door was $2500

I've had two friends buy Buddys from the local dealer. Both got them for MSRP+tax.
I know on the Genuine bikes the difference between dealer cost and MSRP isn't that huge, so that may be why some shops try to stick the buyer with freight fees and whatnot.

I bought a brand new Honda ruckus from a dealer a bit by accident. I was just looking at them online, thinking about buying one. when I clicked the get a quote link I didn't realize that I was applying for financing. well I got a call the next day from the local Honda dealer telling me my scooter was ready for me to pick up. zero down and my payments would be 55 per month for 5 years. I don't remember exactly what I paid total, or the fees involved. but the interest totaled less than 500 total over the course of the five years. I actually paid less than that though because I paid it off early. If I remember correctly the actual price was like 2500 and the total price after title and tax was like 2700. when I got there they had to remove the scooter from the crate for me and put fluids in it. then I rode it home like 30 miles. Wow, that cost you $3,300.00! I guess I could not afford a new scoot because if I could pay that much, I would have to get a car/truck instead. Of course, that is a Honda so still, not out of line. It just kills me because my last motorcycle I bought brand new was a Suzuki 900 Intruder and I paid like $3,000 for it. (I think it was a 1994) Bill

Info pertaining to a new motorcycle, but I'm assuming if you're buying from a scoot from similar motorcycle dealers, the dealer add-on prices will be similar...

I bought my wife's Honda Metro from a Honda dealer. List price was $1999. I asked him if he could let it go for $1800. And I've forgotten just what his counter-offer was.
But I do remember that we got the scooter, a helmet with a price of $150 or so plus a few other small doo-dads for $2300 and something. So there was not big hidden costs there.
Just a few weeks ago I was talking to another dealer. Considering a Lance Cali Classic 125. List price is also $1999. I asked him if I ought to count on about 2300 after tax, title and license. He said Yes.
So it doesn't seem as if either of these dealers are gouging customers with excessive extra charges. I'll bet the manufacturers would get mad at dealers who do. It might be a risky tactic for those dealers.

what year was that? if I remember correctly I was only charged a few hundred over the mrsp. there cant be that much of a prie difference between a a ruckus and a metropolitan. I bought mine in 2012 This was in January, 2016. The Metro was a 2015 model. When you take the helmet into account, my out the door cost was only about 200 above list. Not bad. Plus I just had an adventure with my Kymco and this same Honda dealer helped me out. So now he's going to get even more praise from me. A few months back I called the local Kymco dealer and asked about getting some 4 season tires. They were wishy-washy about even getting tires at all for me. So I decided I needed to do this job myself. I found some good tires from some online dealer and they arrived last week. So on Sunday I removed the wheels from my bike. (A good deal less tricky than I'd imagined. And re-assembly was even easier since I was now somewhat familiar with the parts) On Monday I built a little jig to hold my wheels steady and set about swapping the tires. I was frightened pretty badly over the amount of force that I had to put on those aluminum wheels and those new tires. I managed to get the front swapped, with some marring of the rim, but I never got the bead seated properly. So I went to the local Honda dealer and asked them to bail me out. The guy didn't really want to put tires on that he hadn't sold me. We all know why. But he was nice about it. One thing he did say was, "just this once". So I guess he was telling me not to bring any more tires in in the future. But I might get away with even that if I establish myself as a good customer. But there'll be no need for that since he also said that he'll match any price I find on the web. But I don't care about price. I only care about getting the exact product I want. Anyway......he was done in just a bit more than an hour. He said that the front balanced perfectly and that I hadn't done damage that was anything worse than cosmetic. I noticed that he had to use 40 grams of weight to balance the rear. My cost was about $80. I sweetened the deal for him by buying a couple of Michelin 4 season tires for my wife's Metro, too. I'll pull those wheels on Sunday and have this guy swap tires on Monday. Weather permitting. But if not, then in some upcoming week. This Honda dealer, Cupi's Motor Mall in North Pekin IL is a good guy, for anyone who lives close enough to deal with him.

if it took him an hour he was dragging his feet. I could have done it in 15 min or less with a proper shop
