This one has like 2strokd said a carbed minarelli horizontal. You can recognise it through the strange cvt cover cover, kicker shape and waterpump housing shape.
Some later SR MK2's, the SR street, had a piaggio engine. There's also a MK2 with a morini DI-Tech engine and morini carb engine. The MK1's (SR viper) and early MK2's (SR WWW) had Minarelli vertical engine. I dunno for sure but I think one of the MK3's also has a Piaggio purejet engine.

This scoot reminds me of my Derbi Predator. The instrument cluster, exhaust and kick start.
Then again they are both Italian. The Predator is a LC Morini carved engine so thats where the similarity ends.

I think the aprilia sr isnt even that rare in america. About engine parts...virtually every minarelli part (including aftermarket and/or performance parts) in general will fit. Some parts might differ like belt lenght and cvt cover between long and short case engines, aftermarket gears and some other minor stuff. All the general wear parts, cylinders, variators, exhausts, TD's, ignitions, waterpumps etc etc are the same between minarelli's. You can leave the cvt cover cover off...but it's a part which almost everyone removes immediatly so leaving it on the bike might add some originality.

trying to figure what route im gonna go with this should probably get it running first or try , before i start changing top end etc, i want 70cc+ that route but want to be able to use as a daily driver if needed . atlease all my cvt parts will fit from my last build even my torque control wheelie clutch lol.

When you are aiming beyond low rpm (cast iron) 70's you need a crank with a 12mm small end. Stock is 10mm and wont hold with midrace and up 70's. It'll wreck the engine when the wristpin would blow.
