Whats up gang, been a minute since i slid by. I've been a busy boy. Went yesterday and picked up a Suzuki LT230EJ quad to play with. 230cc 4 stroke semi auto. Im doing a frame off on it so i can get it the way i want. I went looking for one specifically and found a janke ragged out one that runs good for $190 :-) Why this quad? It's got a big open frame, easy to work on. Mid sized so light weight. Factory piggy back rear shock. Drag brake on rear from the foot or three way master /slave from the bars hydraulics. Suzukis old bullet poof 230cc 4 stroker that you can work on in a field with a paper clip and duct tape. Finally, they are cheap thrills. Endless possibilities. Since im here, ill show you a few other things im messin with as well.. This isnt everything, but you get the idea. I've gone mad with small engine stuff to ride. Lol.

Now that i have the engine out and frame ready for stripping and paint I can show you why i chose this quad. I have several and none are really suited to agility like a scooter or bike because of the frame. The polaris 90 is a sport quad and comes closest to agile, yet still isn't as thin and lanky as I'd like. This quad is actually a motorcycle frame. One bar across the top, cradle for the engine. Tubular, thin and light. Compact. It handles like a sports bike and jumps to the moon because it weighs nothing. This design has limitless possibilities to modify and is as simple as pie in concept. Heres a few shots of it tonight as i began sanding the frame. For comparison heres the frame on the polaris.. just a big square heavy lump. (440 lbs!)

Think of it like this, because thats what it is..... The dry weight of the Suzuki RM 250 is 220 pounds in 1988 the dry weight of the quad and 88 was 293 pounds. It was literally just stay at dishing of the larger wheels and a little bit more frame on the nose. This quad is awesome. 4 wheel dirt bike.

Always wanted a quad after riding my brother's 350 Banshee. Its a shame they are such a pain to transport to where you can ride them here. We can get road legal quads, but they are restricted, and where is the fun in that?

Someone please tell me why we can't add turn signals and brake lights to make these things street legal.
