As I mentioned in another post I have aquired a 150cc scooter The number on the engine is 157qmj it has larger wheels, 16 inches I guess. I need a head for it, I'm afraid it's a gy6b engine and I'm a bit confused about the difference. First off here is the valve cover I'm a little confused about those two holes. Is that how it bolts on? The gy6b head they sell at scrappy has a standard bolt patern.

Those are for the twin COP spark plugs.
Sorry I really don't have any real idea. Maybe they are for those rubber plug type valve cover bolts they use on many auto engines. Are there matching studs on the heads or just bolt holes?

It looks like it's from a gy6b 200cc So I guess that's the head I need to buy.
I knew this was too good to be true

There are 2 different styles of head/valve covers for the "GY6B"
Could you rebuild your original head?

That was the only thing missing. I'm doing more research and I'm gathering more info. I believe scrappy has the head.

Partsforscooters, get a micrometer, and compare measurements. I got my head from them and it is spot on.

Bluefront lives in my area apparently. Unfortunately scootdawg is no longer a working forum and I don't know how to contact him.

Bluefront is deceased, so it won't do you much good to go looking for him.

GY6B scooters and GY6B cases have different meanings. Generally the GY6B scooter as in this thread uses the same cylinder as a regular GY6, standard stud spacing. The GY6B cases such as the SSPG kit and Taida cases use the larger stud spacing. GY6B scooters use the 16" rims ^^^^as I understand it. thxcuz you could probably find some alternate bolts to fasten the valve cover, I coudnt find anyone selling them. 1 bolt a washer and maybe two nuts jammed together may work.

I have the valve cover bolts. Just not the head. They are weird looking bolts.

Oh, ok. I'm on that forum. Doesn't do me much good now that I've learned the guy I was looking for has died.
