G'day all, last week I was replacing the pilot jet in my OKO carb and saw a logo that surprised me. I believe the OKO carbs are copies, I can accept that, but what surprised me was the logo inside the bowl area, above the float. As far as I can find, the keihin logo is the name with a "K" for a dot on the first i. Inside my OKO carb is a K which I thought was to resemble the keihin brand. I will include a pic of it, though it is very blurry. Am I off my trolley, or is this a copy gone too far? Unable to get the pic to the post.

HEy sid, yeah your right... To my understanding, the oko is a clone of the kiehin carbs... Supposedly the jets will interchange as well.. I haven't tried that part tho...lol

What's up guys?.... Well something was brought to my attention today about these oko carbs Instead of starting a new thread, I'll just high jack this one for a bit....lol Anyway, several guys are using the oko carb... Mine has a small tube on the right hand side, next to the filter... At the top of the carb where this small tube runs in there is a screw there... I was told this is a oko "power jet" version... I did wonder what the screw/tube was for but haven't messed with it Does anybody out there even have a clue as to what i'm saying? I have heard of the "power jet" carb, but of course idk what it is actually but i am just wondering if anybody elsehas this small tube and screw on thiers......I can post a pic if needed for further indication or whatever..... Thanks guys for some/any insight on this carb(i just liked the color of the line.... )

So, you like the pink line? I don't know much about it, but it is a power jet, apparently it supplies a little more fuel at high revs.

What's up sid? Well it looks like me and you on this one... :scared: Have you tied your "power jet" out yet? I am still waiting to order some pj's.. Seems i have fell behind. It'll be interesting to know if it's useless or a "miracle screw". (wouldn't that be a hoot?) Oh yeah, does anybody know about the "color" on a ex. pipe? Blue is lean Gold is rich, correct? (the pipe on my zx has a section that's gold on each end but blue inbetween, so if i'm correct; she is leaner than i thought. :scared: )

The power jet wont do anything for you i dont believe. Its more for shifter bikes. Not gonna hurt anything to have it tho.

G'day thebatman, I don't think that screw will adjust anything, the adjustment would be by replacing the jet inside. My understanding is that with enough vacuum in the carb it will draw fuel up from the bowl, bigger jet= more fuel. Yes, keihin jets go straight in, am running a molested keihin 125 main jet now and was running a keihin pilot jet before I got my OKO kit. i suppose with the clones, we get a cheaper carb.

Hey sid, running a molested jet huh? Dude, i have a 125 oko jet if you need it.(or a bigger jet and you can solder it up)..(125 would be way to big,i'd say but i did put back in the 120)

HA ha, the molested jet is a 125 that I drilled out, resoldered and drilled again. At the moment I am having trouble with being too rich at idle and takeoff. I won't get a chance to do much with it, a busy couple of days coming up and then the weekend in Adelaide, The missus is going to try one of the dogs in a herding trial. I have a range of main jets, but not in the 120-130 range, time too hit ebay/ scooter assassins.

Good luck at the trials this weekend... I do have 2 120's if you need it then, that way you could probably have it way before ebay's time frame...lol.(i had gotten the high and low set and both have a 120 in em)
