Hey Ben, where's that special pic you showed me that you said you were gonna post that night? A racer and his new ride.

Hey Ben, where's that special pic you showed me that you said you were gonna post that night? A racer and his new ride. If I'm thinking of the same one, I've already posted it in the Skeedr build thread, but it deserves to be here as well... :thumb: Lil' Skeedr by benandangie, on Flickr

Nice video, gives a good feel for what it's about. So Robert, I have to ask about that thingy on the back. Is that to keep you from poppin a wheely on takeoff? You were def going up in at least one of those photo's And you got yourself a good riding jacket too. :thumb: You also made the speed to beat next year, Good stuff

Good question Goosey ;D! It is a wheelie bar, and yes you are correct it is to prevent me from doing too much of a wheelie on takeoff and having to let off the throttle to correct. It was built by one of our great members here, John or 190mech built that for me in no time flat  . If it werent for that wheelie bar, no way i could have cut those kind of 60ft times, nor ran it out under 11,s :riding: . It still needs some minor adjusting getting used to but it works very well. Allot of racers and builders opt to stretch the scooter to help prevent wheelies. We took a different approach... Although i would like to do a short stretch someday. Maybe 3inches or so.? It would have to be fabbed by 190mech or someone with good metal fab skills as i dont trust my welding for something like that. And i dont like the stretch kits that are already on the market. They look cheap and flimsy with no real cross support. I have also heard bad things about them . I have nothing but great luck with John,s work ;D. Him and i kinda think alike when it comes to ideas and what we need and how it needs to be done. He can get it done and get it done quick and right! I cant...I can trust him with my whole build and any building decisions that need to be made. He is the man ! Team PiTTBull wouldnt have done near as well without all his great help! Thanks John :checkered:

I forgot to mention my new jacket and helmet! I love em!!!! They are from a good friend..The same guy that let me borrow his Green ZX7 Nija to ride in my driveway lol. He sold the bike and really didnt need the jacket or helmet so ha gave me a great deal on em. I had no clue how much good riding jacket could flow air through without the liner! Very nice ad comfy!

Yes, a good jacket is not too bad in the summer with the liner removed, and again you can pack the liner, and it really ads warmth when the temps drop at night. LOL, saved me from a bit of road rash here and there Great pictures everyone :thumb:
