There is plenty of room for the vertical mx rads I'm just trying to find something with more capacity. Maybe a pair of them mounted. Here's the one I was looking at: www.ebay.com/itm/162059022754

why such a small engine swap? why not a 200cc+ swap? it may just be my need to constantly ticker and mess with things, but going from a 50cc to just a 100cc doesnt seem like much of a swap to me.

The gears fit, the clutch holds up, the ignition is set to perform, the carb is massive. Everything comes nice and clean in a package rather than being choked to death on the 50cc

DRC explained it pretty well. This swap is more then double the stock power I think it will do very well. If I wanted anymore I'd just get a sport bike. It's more about having a fun 2T bike for the street. Most of the larger cc motors are 4T and that's not what I'm into. The larger 2T motors are just over priced. So far I'm into this for less then a nice AM6 cylinder kit. This will handle the power and has a awesome ignition.

Those rs50's are super aerodynamic. 90mph should be well within reach with a (30?hp) kx100 engine.
To come back to joeorange's comment on swapping to 100cc is only a small increase... It think you're mixed up with 4poke powerlevels. A 200+cc engine which can easily put out 50hp in an aprilia rs50(!) moped frame is just plain rediculous and downright stupid.
And ofcourse a 50cc can put out 20+hp and you can go down that way, but it would make a super expensive and frail engine.
Swapping in 80/85/100cc dirbike engine is money/power/safetywise the perfect solution for a build like this.

after looking up to data sheets of the newer 2 stroke dirt bike engines i have to retract my statement about the swap. im still used to the older 2 strokes like the engine from the old kawasaki ke100,125 and 175's. but looking at the newer engines the power output is almost rediculous for such small displacement engines, im used to 200cc and 500cc engine making that kind of power.
