scooter battery charger

hey what is the best type of battery charger for my 50cc scooter a float charger or etc and what are good brands to buy

I like the Battery Tender float charger. I have another brand, which I can't think of off the top of my head, and it never seems to get the batteries charged quite as well or as fast.

I have and use a Schumacher XC6 battery charger. It has a slow charge of 2 amps and a medium charge of 4 amps and a fast charge of 6 amps. I bought mine at Wal-mart for less than $40.00 and it works great for slow charge and has a automatic shut off plus a circuit detection for a bad cell so if a battery has a bad cell it will not charge it as it can over heat and explode.

I'm not sure what brand mine is, but it sounds exactly the same as that. Got it at a walmart in Idaho last year. You know you're in a good state when you find unused bullets in the walmart parking lot, and the newspaper advertises local gun shops with Saturday night as "Family Night" at the gun range :thumb:

I also have a Schumacher. It has the same quick connect as a Battery Tender and at 1.5a it's safe for any battery. I have used it for my cage, scoot and the neighbors 6v mower.

I was looking to get a Battery Tender but, I found mine at a closeout price at the local Autozone. 19.95 seemed like a decent deal for a battery maintainer.

The Tender or Battery Tender Jr. are popular for a reason, They work. But, If you can find something cheaper that works the same go for it!!! I did
