I wonder if I took it to a machine shop they could fill the mounting holes on the side and drill and tap new ones. It seems kind of extreme I guess but that could keep me in replacement parts. I'm not to deep in this scoot money wise with the exception of some gaskets and jets. Scrappy still owes me a refund for the heads I ordered and returned, so besides the stuff I traded for it (which was just taking up space) so I'm out maybe 20 bucks. I'd hate to scrap it but if the parts can't be found it seems like a losing battle. Or I can just sit on it and wait for the right part to fall in my lap If this was that head on the planet, I wouldn't suggest filling it and re-machining it. I doubt it can be filled by welding, cast aluminum does not weld the same as a billet aluminum, there are just too many impurities in cast aluminum. Filling the holes with JB weld would probably be a fail too. Seeing that the new holes are located in half of the old holes, when drilling the new holes the drill will "walk" to the old hole seeing that JB weld is softer than aluminum and drills will always walk to the softer material. You could take an end mill and make the holes in a milling machine but you will still have to tap the threads, but your back to the same problem as you will have with drilling. The tap would probably catch(vs cut) on the aluminum, try to walk and break.

I wonder if I can put a kymco people 150 rear wheel on it. Then I can pretty much drop it in

I looked at the engine today briefly and I saw the xingyue logo on it. I'm not sure if that means anything but it's something.

I find this amusing. The engine shroud has a little peep hole so you can see the xingyue logo. Just in case you were worried it wasn't Chinese

I got the engine put together tonight and so far everything fits. It was easy. Maybe too easy.
