Not really a full build but I wanted to share some info on installing a Trail Tech Striker. I picked mine up pretty cheap but it had all the wrong sensors so I sold the ones that came in my kit and bought the right ones. Last night I spent some time mounting the Striker and I'm pretty happy with what I came up with. Part of my front fairing was cracked so I just went ahead and broke it off and was able to mount the Striker to the bars on the left side. I wanted to leave the factory gauge cluster since I want to keep the fuel and tach (Striker does speed, temp, hours, time and voltage). Pics are below. I plan on doing some wiring work this week but I'm waiting on the temp sensor extension since USPS lost my order. Also if anyone wants to buy the dashboard from me, let me know. I'll sell for $45 shipped - it's brand new but I just don't want to use it.

Made some decent progress tonight - I got the head temp sensor installed on the spark plug but I'm still waiting on the extension for that one.
I started working on the speed sensor and I think I'll be able to inset a magnet into one of the bolt heads that holds on the rotor and I found what should be a good mounting point for the sensor itself.
Hopefully I'll have another update tomorrow if I get some time to work on it.

Made decent progress last night - got power and ground to the Striker and things look good there. Mounted the magnet with some jb weld and tried a bunch of positions for the sensor but none were in the right place or close enough. Right as I was getting finished I found a place at the bottom of the fork that seems to be in line with where the magnet is so I superglued it there overnight to test.

Didn't do much last night. I got my temp sensor extension cable so I did hook that up but the day was too nice and I won't have a day like this for another week so I mostly just rode for an hour!
I do have a question - what are normal temps that I should be seeing? I'm using the spark plug ring sensor and it got up to 330* yesterday on a WOT run for about a mile.
The only thing left I have to do is figure out magnet placement. I found out I DO have the sensor in a good spot but the heads of the magnetic bolts in the kit are too big for where I wanted to mount them so I picked up some smaller neodymium magnets and I'll try those sometime this week.

I see 300-400F max CHTs depending on the conditions. Winter rides being in the low 300s, and hot summer rides nearer 400.

Ok. yesterday was 85* out so what I'm seeing sounds like it's within expectations. Thanks!
