Being sick and tired of trying to clean dirty carbs with EPA approved carb cleaner I bought an Ultrasonic/heated cleaner. The temp goes up to 50 C and I also got 5 gals. of carb cleaner to go with it. Ya know what? It flat works. This was my sample. I've since left parts in for longer periods of time and they come out squeaky clean. Kinda hard to tell, but you can get a 4 barrel in it. Before After RD

I've used big ultrasonic cleaners for things like that. Industrial sized. One time I was cleaning something and I thought "Oh, I bet this would clean even better if I threw in some pure citric acid" There's only one problem... I forgot that the liquid is a base, and I'm mixing in an acid. Needless to say, it was messy

My lathe got side tracked because of lawyer bills GT. Soon to come though. Now that we have ethanol fuel in our gasoline, I'm the most popular guy in town. Come over, drink beer, clean your carb.. and leave a happy camper.
