So I have a Roketa MC-07-05 with a QMB139 engine in it. It's a 2008 model and it's seen it's fair share of riders (in the family). I myself take it off road a lot. Now as many of you on the forum knows, I've been having some problems with it recently. So because my first option fell through, I'm going to trouble shoot the scooter myself, ask your help, and hope to fix it. Now I have the scooter in my apartment right now actually. The frame, electrics, everything plus the body panels are in my bedroom closet, on the second floor of the apartment building I live in. I have inspection tomorrow so I will even tell you guys if how I hide it worked or not. You can see how I have everything in the first two photo's below. This thread will be picture heavy with some video. Now as I find problems, I'll ask IN THIS THREAD for possible solutions. This includes stock fixes, simple repairs, and possible upgrades. I'm hoping that this thread will help any novice, like myself, pick the best option and do it themselves. If there's ANYTHING you want to say about a fix, repair, or upgrade then feel free to post it. Now I'm going to start taking pieces off and will be posting pictures of each thing. If you need to see a picture of anything, then just tell me and I'll post it up right away. And thank you for any future help. First two photo's:

Examining the body, frame, and electronics is today after inspection. I'll tell you how the hiding of a entire scooter in a one bedroom apartment worked out as well, in case you're ever in the same predicament.

Just saying, this could be moved to the build section even though its more of a rebuild. In my experience (2 stroke chinarelli) it's a huuuge learning lesson to take up a whole scooter rebuild. My first piece of advice is to take it one step at a time, don't try to tackle everything at once or you will lose your ambition. Second, organize everything out and make notes in a notebook. "These bolts went to the cvt cover (diagram pointing out which lengths went to which holes) and are stored in ziplock bag marked cvt cover" or such like that. Keep a personal log/journal/diary besides what you have on here. Take thousands of pictures even for your own personal reference. I can't begin to tell you how many pictures i have just of wiring connectors before and after disconnect just so i can remember colors. And third piece of advice, no question is a dumb question. If you don't know how or why, someone here does and will usually help you learn it too. Be the master of your machine. By the time its done, nobody will know that scooter better than you will.

Well I already screwed up a few of those. Mostly because body pieces were already broken or came off. If there's a place on the frame that I can screw a screw or bolt back on, I do so, but otherwise it's all on a magnet right now. But most body pieces are going to be replaced so I'm not 100% worried about those.

Does anyone know of a upgrade for this? It's the rear rack mount and trunk lock latch. It holds the rear rack easily good but whenever I close the trunk it bends the latch down and stops the trunk from locking. If you know of a upgrade, PLEASE TELL ME!!!

Took off the entire electrical system, harness, etc. That's on the dining room table. Took the front shocks off the frame and the front wheel, shocks, and break are off the frame. The handlebars are off the frame as well. BUT!!! Taking off the shocks from the frame, the scooter fell on my Achilles tendon, cutting into the skin a little deep. Now it hurts to step but I think this bandage is enough to get the job done there. Once I'm able to step I'll finish working on the frame and get it ready to clean. I'm going to do a complete clean of the frame and repaint it a fiery orange, to match the engine. The body parts I ordered from Scrappy Dog are a shiny black, so it'll contrast really well. But that's all after I am able to walk without a cane.

The tendon is healing very nicely, it seemed to be inflamed but hurt like hell, couldn't walk on it and had to use a cane. I took out the kick start and was worried about the spring but sadly, the spring didn't have any spring to it. It was loose as all hell. So I'll be ordering a new kick start kit after I clean up the cover and repaint it. Still trying to choose a lever.

Is there any evidence of contact/damage on the crank wheels? Was this thing making a horrible racket when it ran? It looks like the piston was smacking into something, like perhaps the crank.
