Yeah, they got that Virgin airlines 747 that is gargantuan. My heli is only 11 ft from rotor tip to tail. I've seen video of those things. Makes my spine tingle thinking about seeing one of those things flying, it would look so real! I had a buddy who was into r/c stuff. He got into heli's, and built one. He had it hovering in the shop one day, practicing. It went wacky and hit the ground from like 3ft up, and blew into a million peices. We were sweeping up the shop looking for parts, and he said "part of the deal, gotta expect crashes". I was like, you flew it(hovered it really) for like 10 minutes! Now you gotta rebuild it?! I'd be done right there haha. Then again, my first bbk died about 500ft from my house cuz it sucked something down the carb and ate it, ejecting it out the case by the crank. Total loss haha.

That is a beautiful Heli Spaz. Nice. Did u build it? Doesn't matter, even if u didn't build it, u fly it. Hell I do good to not crash these little mini indoor coaxial choppers. I have a plan to put a mid sized for in this Hummer toy here. Won't be too hard, just swap the drive motor for a servo set and install the engine and gears and go. The .049 on my Corsair had GE fuel tank built on to the motor. I am wanting a bigger version with the same type tank. Found one on the bay for 55$ shipped. Now you get the wife to pick it up for my birthday.......

Exactly my thought , ONLY 11ft? Well looks like you got one of the worlds biggest spaz, and I'll have one of the worlds smallest hehe. I'll take all your thoughts into consideration and just grab a package deal on the little engines... I'm scared of crashing, but I wanna get in on the fun too!! Atleast there light, so hopefully we won't be sweeping up any pieces too soon!! Me and my bros always had helis, but never the gas powered stuff? Could this be slightly before the time when they started coming back into business? And... So really... how long did it take you guys to build the CONFIDENCE to spend your money on one of those thing? Lol. Seems I am just starting out here on this model thing. I'm mostly fascinated by the engines, but making them look cool and realistic would be fun. Hubby used to paint lots of models, but he works 7 days a week so... I make, We fly.... eventually

I make, We fly.... eventually I really need to learn how to quote multiple people When I bought this heli 20 years ago it was the largest, but it's only about 2/3's the size of the larger ones today. Some have a rotor span that is long as my whole helicopter. I started off with much smaller ones and wrecked many, many of them. My ex wife absolutely hated them because of the cost of fixing them. It took me about 6 months before I stopped wrecking one every time I flew. Sometimes it was just little things that broke and was no big deal, other times not so much. But they are much easier to fly now a days because of better radios and better gyros. They're also a lot cheaper so you get more bang for your buck. Anyway, I'd encourage you to fly them because they are a lot of fun and a good hobby. You're young enough and probably have good enough coordination to fly 3G. If you don't know what that is, look it up. It's insane.

The internals of course are ready made and you just put them together. I've used several internals over the years to upgrade the power plant, which started off as a OS X 2T heli engine making about 2.5 hp and now the turbine that makes about 7 hp.

I know that you're not being serious, but I'll tell ya anyway; a helicopter is very picky about its center of gravity, especially these RC helis. Assuming that you could fit a human, or anything live, inside of one, the second they moved around it would probably be the end of them. It would be all bad

But it'd be hilarious right? can you post a pic of the 7HP please. and when you say 3G we are talking gigas? If not, what is the 3G since I can't seem to find anything under that name either.
