IMO since the lithium battery powered impacts came out, there is no reason for air tools, especially as far as scooters are concerned. I use a milwaukee plug in impact for the big stubborn stuff like rear wheel bolts and such.

Depending on the tool, like sanders, you might need a big air tank because they use so much air.

LOL, I don't know. I was just wondering if I should get some air tools... heh But I don't wanna get those big tanks. Too much space taken up

that would probably run an impact long enough to remove variator and clutch nuts. then after it runs for a few minutes will run it long enough to reinstall them.

Like Jeff said, it'd work for an impact, which would be good to have when the lil ol electric impact just doesn't have the grunt to loosen that stubborn nut/bolt. It wouldn't run a grinder or sander for long and would get super annoying.

I have a set of dewalt battery impact drivers that I use for mostly everything. I also have a trusty old compressor, similar to that one, and impact for the stubborn wheel nuts. That compressor will be fine for small tasks. Sort try using that air supply for case porting, you'll run out quickly.

I use this for removing the small bolts. And this for the tuff stuff and cvt stuff(on mid setting). Iv been looking for a lithium kit that has the impact and driver tools so I can cut the air "umbilical" hose.

IMO since the lithium battery powered impacts came out, there is no reason for air tools, especially as far as scooters are concerned. I use a milwaukee plug in impact for the big stubborn stuff like rear wheel bolts and such. The lithium stuff looks nice, but I will say that both of my impacts are hand-me-downs from my father who used them 5-6 days a week many times a day as an auto mechanic. Both are over 20 years old and have had no issues as long as I've used them (about the last 17 years since he retired from mechanic work). I've used the same compressor for those 17 years too. I wonder if you can expect over 20 years out of the lithiums without replacement or repair of anything at all? I'm just going to guess hell no based on every cordless or electric drill I've owned. I like that as long as my compressor is around, my tools are always "charged" with just a few minutes of forethought to turn the compressor on. I like that I can regulate air pressure as well. Obviously the lithium wins in portability and you don't have to put any drops of oil in it or trip over air hose. If all you want is an impact for occasional use, I don't think I'd buy pneumatic though. Especially when you don't want to take up anymore space than you have to. I use the impacts a lot and die grinders regularly (even though the compressor does constantly run if I am doing a lot with the grinders). I have air ratchets and I used them a lot on my car when I had way too many T-bolt clamps for turbo piping and had to pull the heads off regularly, but normally I never touch the air ratchets. The air chisel hardly ever comes out of the toolbox. Don't even think I've ever used it for anything scooter related.

I use a few air tools.
I have two compressors. I use the very old 120V 3/4HP 100PSI unit for everyday stuff like inflating tires. It also works for most air tools. I use a 1/2" impact for automotive wheel service and for my variator with a torque stick. I also use an air chisel at times. The small compressor is good to keep up with my framing nailer and brad nailer.
I use a surge tank at the end of an air hose to run tools. The surge tank also doubles as an air bubble and pressure regulator. It has two outlets; full pressure, and regulated.
I also have a 5HP two-stage with a short tank for shop air distribution. It is good for tough stuff that I use my 3/4" impact for.
I use my old DeWALT XRP battery tools a lot. I still use corded tools. Batteries are nice but they die and are a PITA to keep charged. For big jobs the corded tools work better.
Air tools also have uses in explosion hazard environments.

Air tools;at work they are compression tester, rivet gun, spark plug cleaner, media blasters, plasma cutter, tire service..I like corded electric drills when thousands of rivet holes must be drilled, corded die grinders too.. Not much for impact tools at work,do have a cordless 1/4" impact gun and a cordless drill driver also..Elbow grease for the rest of it!!
