hello guys I've noticed that my headlight is very very weak in my beamer 3 and i was wondering how hard it is to make it brighter. i'm guessing it takes more then just throwing a better bulb in there cause i notice when i'm riding it's brighter then when i'm at idle. thanks for the help guys.

It could be as simple as replacing it with a better bulb. They come in different wattages just like house bulbs. I've seen 18, 35, 50 60 etc...I've also seen where guys will put in a hotter bulb and melt the light assembly so if you do upgrade keep an eye on it.
It's normal for the light to get brighter when you rev the engine.

I think that you should verify what bulb you actually have before making any decision.
Question: On your scooter, does the headlight come on when you turn the key on or when the engine starts?

it's in the shop right now it sat for a year and a half cause of my deployment to afghanistan. so it's getting worked on to get it running again. once i get it back i'll be able to tell ya for sure but if i remeber right i can have the light on without the motor running.

Well, if it sat for a long time then the battery is probably dead/weak so it's taxing the charging circuit more than a brand new fully charged battery would and that will cause the lights to dim way down at idle.

i got it back today and i'm yet to take it out for a night scoot however i just remember it was weak before my deployment. and after quickly looking at it i've found that it dosen't need to be running for the head light to turn on.

Having the light on with the key means it is energized by the battery directly so weak battery = dim lights. Maybe you need a new battery instead of a new bulb.

The shop did have to charge the bat so maybe it was just weak. Also I read on here some where that some shops throw a weaker battery in there then what the company recomends... might have to check that out too
