I used to eat raccoon, muskrat, and rabbit regularly. Squirrel maybe once or twice. It's been years though. That was when my grandparents were still around. Grandpa killed it and granny cooked it.

Haha...Thai food! Southern Thai, super spicey! If you ever get a desire to come here, look out for southern food unless you truly like heat!

Is there a Jeff Foxworthy joke in there Vert? [Granny: " Come quick! Look what I left in the toilet before I flush it"]

My first thought was "ugh!! How gross and unclean!" Then in thought about modern beef, pork, and poultry farms.... probably no worse if not better, at least raccoon is organic!

I was trying to find you fellas a pic of my grandfather with a bunch of raccoons, but I can't seem to find it. He lived for hunting. Went to championship coon hunts and got trophies with his black & tan hound. It's not my thing. I'd quit eating beef and pork and chicken... if it didn't taste so damn good. I did find a pic of my "pet" raccoon. Of course I named him Bandit. I thought he was my pet anyway. I fed him and gave him water for a while. Then one day my grandfather and his buddy took him to a pond and set him loose. Then they set 2 coon hounds loose after him and they fought him to the death in the water. One of the dogs was pretty messed up too. Doesn't scar you at all as a child. lol He was a great man in most aspects. He was respected in the community, would help anyone, a historian that shared or hunted for knowledge for anyone interested, and so on... but my grandfather had a totally different outlook on animals than me. They were noting but food or sport for him. Even his hounds were just for him to brag about and hunt with.

It seems when people hear of other animals eatin besides the norm, they assume it's savage lol. It's all the same really? I won't lie tho, I never enjoyed cows TONUGE.... I wonder if we can catch us some coons ! There at our back door every night so I put out all of our left overs and they leave the garbage alone. Those things are pretty smart, they managed to learn to fiddle and twist our trash can lid off.

Tuna steak and peas with chick broth and butter; add rice if you're really hungry. At the store tuna should be red or pink, but most important should smell ok. Keep it on ice, then soak it in Kraft zesty Italian dressing for up to 30 min. Grill or broil for about 4 min/ side. Keep it pink or red in the middle. A light white wine, and good dreams.

I found raccoon to be an outstanding meat. bbq coon on a bun, tell me its pork and I wouldn't know the difference. after more research found its increadibly dangerous to handle the raw meat. and the coons I have cleaned all had visible parasitic worms in the meat. none the less. cooked properly its a fine meal. would eat it a gain, but only if I knew for a fact it was cooked properly. (boiled to the point its falling off the bone) i eat about 30 squirrel a year and probably just as many if not slightly more rabbits. all harvested from the porch

Tacos. sometimes beef, sometimes chicken fish, etc, etc. What's a chicken fish? Is that like a McChicken sandwich? Those are a little fishy...
