Well here is my new 2011 Yamaha Zuma. Taking in the backroom of my work. Yay Kroger! haha Picked up the 26th at Yamaha of Louisville. Hard place to find since GPS's do not work at all down there. I've been going a little easy on her. Since it's a new motor. I did GPS top speed and got about 39 flat. Climbs at about 30-33. Future mods...here in the next 50 miles or so. Throttle Cam Fix (haven't done this since I'm still in the process of breaking the motor in, I would be to tempted to WOT all the time on it) and dual light mod. Thing I'm going to keep it pretty stock. Might mess with the CVT a little so if anyone can give me a good idea on what good parts for this on a stock motor without losing top speed please let me know.

yamaha used any where from 6.0 to 7.0 (mine were actauly 6.9) gram oem rollers with the leo vince zx on an oem bore most guys are running around 5.0 to 5.5 gram rollers
just to give you an idea of where you might want to aim for you might want to get some 6.0 and 6.5 but i would find out what weights are in there right now and go from there as yamaha has changed them up a few times

What kind of performance would I see when adding a Leo on stock bore? How far up on jet should I expect? Also on the 2011 carbs theres some metal covering the mixture screw? Any ideas on how to remove this? I'm gonna wait to mess with the weights till I take care of the throttle cam. I hate not being able to goose it off the line. Will defiantly be doing that Monday.

ok first off to remove that screw cap i used a small drill bit drilled in and stuck a dental pick in there and pulled it out you could use a small sheet metal screw to pull it out just dont go in too deep or you will screw up the air screw
as for rejetting the standerd zx most guys have not needed to rejet with it the zxr some of the guys are seeing a need to rejet with it normay going up to an 82 mj
if you go with the zx or zxr most guys are running a mix of 1/2 and 1/2 i prefer not to mix if i can get close
you will see a couple mph up top and better throttle resoponse
and the next option to stay on the stock bore is to port that globe out of the exhaust port
with a zx or sp3 ported stock cyl stage 6 varatior with 6.5 gram rollers i say 50 mph on a stock bore would do 45 easily and took a bit to get up higher
now im just seeing a bit more top end with the 70 kit but i get there like a bat out of hell compared to the stock bore and i hold higher speeds up big hills

jmkjr72 thanks a lot man. I seen that your a mod over on another forum. I can never find what I'm looking for over there. I didn't want to go there and ask the same questions a million other people have asked haha. I wanna stay pretty low key on this thing. I might run the zx and work on that exhaust port like you said. This is a every day driver so I can't really afford much downtime.
I can't wait to get the throttle cam fix done. I can tell this motor is wanting to be wide open. Should be doing that tomorrow.

I would pick that up if I didn't have a room mate thats worked about every engine known to man. He'll do it for a case of beer and I'll learn a thing or two. Thanks for the offer though. Little short on cash too

dont forget when you add your pipe you need to pull all that smog shit off and plug the hole in the airbox where the smog line goes into the air box

The air box is the same size and everything so I plan on using the front half of it. After taking a look at the eton it looks like everything is the same almost. It has an Athena Vari on it. With what I think 5.5 or 6g rollers in it. Its been a long time since it's been started. I've lost the keys and the ignition is all jacked up anyways. Btw will I see a better take off with the throttle cam fix?

Your zuma is pretty awesome haha. I dig the offroad guards and the custom bars on the floor. I'm thinking about doing that myself. I'm 5'10 but I feel weird with how small the floorboard is. I need to stretch. I'm going to order a ZX tomorrow night and some dr. pully weights. Doing the cam fix and lights tomorrow hopefully. I wish I could find the rear light plastics to put my turn signals by the headlight. Your ride is sick though I can't say that enough. Wish their were more people around me to ride with. Most guys around here real douches haha. Think their tough driving around on their unmodded 4 strokes bought at the flea market. (No offense to anyone who owns these! Just saying these guys think their something special)

you mean the jdm rear fender set up www.scooterwest.com/items/?_pageCCS=t#page=/item_details/Zuma-50-Rear-Fender-w-Taillight---T-S/1842yeah and if my wife knew how much money i spent on scooters i would proably be dead but when she gives me crap like last night i ask her if she would be happier if the other women was a real women and she shuts up (though some times i think a mistress might be cheaper) but what i have in my scooters pales to what i dumped into my fire bird over the years and now that needs new floor boards so its either yank the engine and find a new body or spen a fortune putting the floorboards int
