I am looking for a website that offers ebooks and the possibility to pay via PayPal. Anyone know a good site?
I know that 99% of us are greasemonkeys but maybe there is one or the other that reads something besides engine tech or scooter manuals.

Thepiratebay? I've never looked, but you can find most anything else there.

Found what I was looking for. With older age I started to get more responsible and tried to reduce illegal media downloads or streaming when ever I can. I got Netflix and Hulu for TV Series/Movies and iTunes for Music I wouldn't mind at all paying for a good ebook that interests me. BUT, I was so hard trying to find a legal way to get a simple ebook but those damn idiots won't make it easy. You need certain software to be able to read certain file format ebooks which is OK but when I go to checkout it says stuff like "we are sorry but we only sell within the US." WTF? Why? It's a digital file for Christ sake what do you loose if you sell it outside the US? Then I found a site that says for Japan buy here *click* -> add to cart -> tick the PayPal payment method in the checkout and then.....nothing, page reloads and reloads over and over again. This forced me to get what I was looking for through illegal ways. How can it be that the illegal websites are capable to create easy to handle website and those $$$$$$$$ companies are not capable to do that? Incompetent idiots. And then they wonder why they loose money with people getting the stuff through illegal channels. Sorry for the rant but I hate when people complain about something but won't do any efforts improving or bringing a solution at all.

Most browsers have an extension that you can download to spoof your location. Or you can try OperaVPN on a phone or tablet.

Yeah that would usually work but that particular shop checks the billing address of the payment method. My PayPal account has no US address and a VPN won't be much help there.

Bitcoin???
Do you have a trusted relative back here in the states?
Seriously, I have looked at e-books from a number of legal vendors for years but I have not found the books I like. I read hard core science fiction, no fantasy crap. I like e-books because I can turn the pages and adjust the font size. Unfortunately most of the e-books I see on the market are fantasy, fourth grade reading level, or women's porn (romance novels).

I love the Gunslinger series by S.K., and the Misery books also by him but under the pen name Richard Bachman. Nothing like the Misery he released under his real name..Thank God.

tsimi- I am glad you found what you were looking for.
I have the kindle software and amazon prime but few of the 'free' e-books are worth reading. Their prime selections for e-books and video are kind of a 'bait and switch' setup. The first few episodes/books are free but then -OUCH- the rest cost $$$$.

I still subscribe to Amazon Prime and buy a lot of stuff through Amazon because I believe that Blue Origin: www.blueorigin.com/ Has the very best rocket engine and system design. Space-X gets lots of press but their present system seems very dangerous for human flight. The differences involve the human occupancy and pressurization system for the fuel supply. I just be a dumbs**t and watch developments though. Huge companies building rockets is a far cry from the old juvenile Sci-Fi books back in the 1950's about some mad scientist uncle and his nephew building single stage rockets to go to the Moon or Mars and back, -landing vertically of course...

That would be an awesome experience! Notice they fail to mention ticket rice on the site? Or a projected launch date? Maybe in the lifetime of my kids or grand kids it will be priced similarly to a normal vacation experience.
