Cool about the scooter. The ink looks good for what it is. It could have been much much worse. A neighbor girl when I was younger had her makeup permanently tattooed on, eyeliner lipstick all of it. At one time ( read the 80's ) I had a chain, attached to an ear ring, to a nose ring then to a little lip stud. Needless to say, my folks were pissed.

A pretty, pretty girl.
I come from the Hippie generation. (I was just a hair young. But close enough) And I'm just flabbergasted by the fashions of the younger generation. They might as well have come from Mars!
But.......on the other hand.........my parents and their peers thought the same of us.
Oh! Somewhat related to the thread. I gave my daughter one of my scooters the other day.
Or, to be more precise, I was dangling a scooter in front of her face. But I was also planning on getting an important concession or two out of her. But I went to work yesterday and my wife gave away the store!
I was hopping mad. But my wife assured me that she'd make sure my conditions were met. And she might do so. But she also has a history of caving in. So I just don't know.
Why does nothing ever work out right? Why do we have to guard our plans as though they're made of gold?

The kids today eh? Where I live I see quite a few girls covered in tattoos. I don't mind a girl with tats though myself. It is definitely in fashion at the moment. Very popular with the hipster crowd too. I guess we all do things that shock out parents. My mum hated my long hair. Had hair right down my back for about 30 years. Cut it all off four years ago as I'm going really grey now 😢

I was once standing in a group of tattooed Youts and said I think its time that I can get some tattoos because my skin had sagged enough that they wouldn't get ruined. They all got quiet.

Anyway....I got a bit distracted there with my own mini-rant.
Were you saying, milly, that the tats were brand new and a surprise?
And is she taking to the scooter?

bluegoatwoods and aeroxbud, I am the same. I was a Teen in the '70's with long hair until 2002. My hair turned grey fast (I was 40) and I had to cut it because the greyer it got, the more it became like steel wool.
I have both ears pierced (no other piercings) and no tattoos.
I was also a guitar player in Heavy Metal rock bands, and when I practiced, that didn't make my parents or neighbors very happy (I play LOUD).

I had long hair from middle school till about 2-3 years ago. I wish mine just turned grey. Mine decided to start thinning out on top so I finally buzzed it off. I felt so un-metal without long hair. lol Now I actually like it because it's way easier to deal with and I enjoy having windows down and riding more because it doesn't blow around and get tangled up. Should have done it while I had my convertible or T-top cars.

I had long hair till late 20's. I went into an old School barber shop and ask for a trim. I didn't look in the mirror and walked back to the pub to finish me beer, went in and everyone laughed. Walked into the bog to look in the mirror They had blow dried it so then end's rolled underneath just like a popular girls hairstyle of the time. Could not comb ot out so walked straight to the next barber shop and had it all cut off short. Been short mostly ever since. Moral of the story don't go getting haircut when drinking. 😊
