The picture quality is superb. 2" screen, its own wifi, Even has an app that you can download to control the camera. Helps with adjusting your camera angle, play function, plus you can see what your recording at all times.

Search for SJ4000 or SJ5000 or any SJ action cam. They are cheap but don't have the gadgets build in like a GoPro has. Fmr example GPS.

I just got a 2nd Hero4 Silver refurbished a little over a week ago. Filmed with it for 20+ hours in 4 days without issue. Not super cheap, but a quality cam for a little more than half the cost of the Hero5 (or what I paid for my other 4 Silver new).

I'm gonna be selling 2 Hero2 cams soon, but honestly I wouldn't recommend them unless you just want some kind of video and quality isn't a big concern. They don't shoot vid like the more modern stuff can. If they could, they wouldn't be for sale.
