A 1965 Honda Super Cub. 50cc.
I'm not even sure, really, that Super Cub is the right name. They've been known as the Passport at some point in their history. But I think Super Cub is what they were called then.
I even got to ride it a bit. It was fun. He's still having some trouble with lighting. It has an odd electrical system from his description. But it started easily and ran strong. At low speeds anyway. And it had a nice sound. Yes, it's putt-putt sound. But there's 'strength' in it. Maybe more like pop-pop.
Nice bike. Tiny, though.

Leg shields are SO sexy - especially in front of a short skirt.

Talk the owner into swapping in a 130-160cc clone engine. That way he can keep the Honda engine on a shelf in good shape. It's totally practical.

Not bad for a 65. That was made over 50 years ago. I see the kick start is on the right hand side. And it is a true two seater with two rear shocks. That is not a "tiny" scooter; after all this is 49ccScoot.com not 500ccScoot.com. It has a four stroke engine. "Most produced motorcycle in history", "First motorcycle ever to use plastic fairing". Other facts on Wiki here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Super_CubThe C70 Passport is from the early 80's at least the photos I find are. They look very similar to the Super Cub;

Cub and Super Cub were slightly different. Trim package sort of thing.
I guess that's like how Americans call every Mini a Mini Cooper?
Mine was a '67, super base version, but was labelled as a c100 even though it was still the 50cc.
If I still had that critter it'd have a newer 125 clutched engine in it.

I have one of these! I don't know about a 160 swap, the suspension and brakes are somewhat lacking.

WOW! A real worth keeping antique! It's the first bike I ever drove, if just briefly in a field. A friend took me hunting one day on it. About a 30 mile drive out of the suburbs to the place. Guess what would happen to people today if they drove down the road with rifles strapped to their backs? (Ours were plain old wood stock 22s', not todays' imitation soldier weapons). Sorry about getting off topic.

Food for thought, the late 70's and early 80's C70 Passport is actually a Cub. Honda couldn't use the Cub name stateside due to trademark infringements, hence the name Passport.
