I've sold off most of my donor 139qmb scoot with exception of the frame, the harness, the wheels and the gas tank. I also have a engine with a broken con rod. Basically, I have an empty canvas to build something crazy. I'll likely run it as a naked scoot so if parts are sticking out so be it. Any advice for a crazy custom gy6?
I'm may of may not do it but I have this stuff lying around, maybe I'll do something with it

You said you like the styling of older bikes in one thread. There have been a few members that added a bar to connect the front to the seat area and then put a motorcycle tank on that bar. If you have the fab skills, that may be something custom that suits your tastes.

No fab skills yet but I've never been one to not learn. I wonder how big a wheel can I get on the front.

Funny you should mention that. There's a guy on cl with a honda elite 250 engine for sale. I think I'm going to have to stay gy6...more parts available. Unless anyone has a chinerelli engine laying around so I can enjoy some 2 stroke goodness

Found this on the interwebs. This could be interesting I'd need a different fork for the right look and the bigger wheels.

Or this I'd do something about that seat though

Yeah, that 'seat' would be a pain in the ass!

That's an old Velorex car. Used a 350 engine I think? They were skinned with fabric and looked pretty cool. I've been banging around the idea of building something similar around a gy6 powerplant after I get some space for such idiocy.
I kind of like the idea of a mash up between one of those and an old c-cab model t.

This is the tank I have, like I said, it's a big one. I paid 15 bucks for it a few years back. I don't know what it's from but it's plastic and was yellow at one time.

A big tank makes for a long cruise.

I caught a glimpse of the frame and my messed up engine case today in my bone yard (side of the garage out of sight of everyone) while I was tinkering with my spree- they were just begging me to bring them back to life.
My goal is to do this as cheaply as possible, possibly from donated parts if I can scrounge them. I do have to get my spree running first.
now I kinda wish I didn't sell off most of it.
