I went for a ride .running great .shut off motor no spark now . its a 139qmb new 50cc motor 200 miles . has the bbk installed. Tried switching the cdi only . Ran out of light. Gonna ivestagate more tomorrow . I have a lot of knowledge . somewhat not much on electrical . any suggestions would be appreciated . just not sure .thanks in advance !!!

Iv had this happen a couple times. First time it as a failed CDI. Second time the exciter coil failed on the stator.

Changed out cdi and plug wire and coil . still no luck . waiting on flywheel puller to show up tomorrow so I can check the stator . That's all the electrical if im correct . any other advice ? Thanks every one !!!

Check fuse and ground wires, I had the bolt that holds a ground wire loose and it wouldn't start, one of the bolts that holds the back fender on , also has a ground wire,

You can check the stator with a multimeter :
Could also be a switch in the wrong position or a malfunction. Check for a ground on the black/white wire of the CDI. You should find that if all switches are set to run, then there's no ground. When set to off/kill, there is a ground. If you get a ground there when they're set to run, something is malfunctioning.
