I just installed a 100cc big bore kit. I was in a rush while installing so I didn't double check the timing marks on the A9 camshaft. I read an article that the cams TDC mark is the A at the top with the two holes aligned with the head. I placed my cam with the smaller hole in the center and the two holes lined up with the head. Can someone please confirm the right way the A9 performance cam should be installed. The scooter runs good but as I accelerate it seems like it misses and slows the scooter for a brief moment and then it picks back up.
The cam I have has like 5 holes in it and the one in the center is a little bit smaller than the other two holes on both sides of it. ANy help would be appreciated thanks.
edit: One more thing I would like to add is when I set the engine to tdc the first time the markings wern't exactly on point. The fly wheel marks such as the T wasn't exactly on lined up with the case it was a little off and the two holes on the original cam shaft were slightly off as well. It was close but it wasn't lined up as good as a cars markings would be. I wonder if this is normal on these engines?

I just installed an A-9 cam on my Dongfang 47mm BBK build.
The piston at TDC, the flywheel timing mark should be visible in the inspection hole of the flywheel cover (I finally figured out what that plug in the hole is for). The cam should be lined up with the 2 smaller marks even with the top edge of the head. The bigger hole on the cam should be visible at the top of the cam. The cam lobes should not be lifting the rocker arms (both valves closed, this is when the spark plug fires).

Yea that is the procedure but does your old A9 cam look like your stock cam?
Anyways I'm pretty sure I placed my cam in the right spot after a little more searching. All the builds on the internet only show the cam with 3 holes in it unlike my version which has 7 holes on it. Also there is an article of an A12 or A13 cam (I forget atm) being installed which has no hole just a letter A and numbers stamped on it which confused me.
I still have to figure out what is wrong though I may make a video to describe my symptom because I don't think it is a fuel issue. Thanks for responding.

Installing the A9 should be no different than installing a stock cam. Can you post a pic of the 7 holes on the A9 you have?

The 2 small holes line up with the edge of the head and the smaller hole on the inside ring should be up. If you look at the opposite of that hole, there is no hole. The no hole area should be hidden. This will orient the cam in the TDC position when both valves are closed which is when the plug will fire.

I bought a glixal cam and the holes were different on it compared to the stock cam, so I just held them up and compared them together to see where the glixal cam should be positioned

Yeah that is the way I did it. It was the only way it made sense. Like I said earlier the reason why I second guessed myself was because of an article where someone was installing an A12 or A13 cam and the letter A was oriented at the top.
I uploaded a video of my scooter's issue though it was night time. As of now I'm pointing towards pilot jet or spark plug. I want to describe the problem as a hiccup/bog or a missfire. Take a look at the video, the problem happens right at the 15 second mark and please share your opinions and hopefully this can help someone else with the same issue besides myself.

Just for the record my scooter was miss firing as you can see in the video. Which led me to believe my scooter was out of timing. I did get to (almost) the bottom of it. It was either the CDI or the coil one I replaced both of them the scooter stopped missfiring. I figured I should share since you guys helped me.
