Parts Bike build.

I have enough scrap and salvage parts to build a mild dysfuctional bike that I started long ago. I ride and own other stock scooters that can get me to work in the meantime.

Big bore kit is done now time to see if a old long case ,long shaft will fit in shortcase frame.Does anyone know if there are rubbing issues or other issues with putting a 13 inch wheel with a frame made for 10 inch wheel.

Engine is in and new tail light is on,had to go with about 2 inch longer rear shock for the long case engine.New wiring harness is in and making sub harness to run two lower headlights off the yellow ac wire.

Floorboard is in and most of the body work and flat backing clips.Bike was not starting, just clicking , I looked at the starter,after replacing the solenoid and it still just clicked. I plugged in the starter and it still just clicked. I checked the wire leads to the starter and found the black and red leads ( male and female) were going black to red and red to black. I re pinned the wires so they go red to red and black to black. So lesson learned allthough the plug is univerasal and you could use a random wire, you still need to look at the wires going through the connector to make sure the wire colors are the same on both sides. With wires correct bike starts right up.

Ok bike starts and runs smooth but,sounds horrible when starting.Tracked down bad noise coming from bendex area.There is no bendex bushing on kick start cover. I will dig one up out of an old broken one.

I got the starter bendix bushing in and it starts smooth. Next need to find another center stand. The correct stand for the enegine has it sitting real high and with the slightest touch it will roll forward onto the ground.I also need a rear rack ,the one I have does not line up. Need to play with jetting and needle on carb,part throttle hesitation at low speeds.
