When I turn 16 I wanted to ride a Suzuki ts 50x as my first moped/bike but I wasn't sure whether legally I could ride it. It's 49cc but not your typical scooter/ped. Could anyone tell me whether I could ride it legally or not? I was curious because it has changable geats unlike a normal moped

It sure looks like the sort of bike that's going to need normal plate, registration and insurance. Like any motorcycle.
And you're probably going to need a driver's license and motorcycle endorsement as well. I guess things might vary from state to state. But I wouldn't count on it.

Yes you can in the U.K. My mate had one when I had a DT50. With a 65cc kit and a pipe it went well. Different states have differing views as to what is classed as a moped. Might need to check with your local DMV. They are quite an old bike now so might be hard getting parts.
