Yeah, Brent (90GTVert) has bunches of great videos.
Check out the Tech Section. That is where I learned to work on scoots, I'm not a mechanic and stuff like carbs were a mystery to me. Now I can tune carbs, tune CVT's and tear down the engine and put it back together and it runs with no parts left over.

Update: I'm beyond upset with this purchase. I watched probably 24 hours worth of video prior to receiving this bike, and not once did anyone mention just how shoddy it really is. Like, what is your guys' standard for quality? I mean, I knew I was getting a chinese bike, but this is even worse than expected. I've been in the car audio game for over 10 years, and have taken off door panels, ceiling panels, hell, even entire interiors I've taken out, and not once did I find a panel as shoddy as what's on this bike. I did a lot of car stereo work for a while as well, but I paid more for one of my head units than my whole new TaoTao shipped. Think about this; you are buying brand new motorized transportation for $500-$1,000. You can buy quality scooters like Yamaha, Piaggio, Vespa, Aprilia, etc..., but you will pay multiple times the price of the Chinese scooters and parts will be more expensive. My Yamaha is a 500cc scooter, but many have paid over $300 just for a belt and when it's time for big services they pay out over $1000 for routine maintenance that the manual suggests. You get what you pay for to some degree. Edit: also, the manual that was included was for the wrong bike. I do not have a manual for the bike that I purchased. Chinese owner's manuals are generally poorly translated and of little use, so you aren't missing out. You can't even find a good service manual for the vast majority of specific makes and models.

Welcome to the worlds best scooter forum. I have two tao taos, 74cc kits each one. Thanks to 90vert's videos and tech know how, plus everyone's knowledge...my scooters run like little ninjas. Tao taos are the bottom of the barrel, however, you can make the run. Well. Oh, and whatever you do,do not google tao tao vs epa, its not pretty.

Update:
First off, I need to apologize for my brash language and misguided frustration last night. I am in a much better frame of mind tonight and I owe an apology to 90GTVert.
I am still disappointed in this purchase, but I'm going to try and make the best of it. So, I went to the hardware store and picked up a flange bolt to try and hold me over until the actual part comes in. I still worry that spacer and what not is not going to fix the play in the handlebars, but we'll see. I took a ride tonight and it was pretty fun, but there is a ton of wobble in the handlebars. Also, this thing has a hard time off the start, but it really accelerates fast once it gets going. The other scooter I've ridden is more steady throughout its acceleration. Just takes some getting used to.
Edit: I will get to you guys' replies here in a bit.

If you need a service manual for the engine, click on the manuals link on the left side of the screen. Download the 139QMB manual and it has a wealth of info on the motor.
The 50cc_GY6_Service_Manual does cover the steering as well as in depth the 139QMB engine and the CVT.
