That's weird that bracket rusting like that. The only bit that rusted on mine in five years was where the rear wheel flicked spray up. There is a small gap under where the fuel tank and bottom panel join. This is enough to let salt get onto the bar behind.

Is there a way to move that rear shock to the outside with some sort of offset adapter? Or maybe look for a rear shock that is already offset like the KN springs?

Thankfully here in Northern OZ we dont have to contend with frozen roads and Salt as a consequence . I wonder that indidual part wasn't prepped or painted right at the factory ? Ken

I'm seriously contemplating grinding out the piece of Fender that interferes with the shock so that I can move it over to the Left and centralise it . My only reservation is that if I " Feck " with this Fender it will become worthless and I don't actually see a long term relationship occurring between us . Ken

I would try to avoid cutting that already super rare carbon fender. Worst case try to find a non-carbon alternative to grind out. Otherwise try to figure out a way to move that spring over by a few mm to get clearance for the fender.

Update - The trials and tribulations of living on the otherside of the world are endless . Here is a message I just recieved from Scootertuning.ca , about the clear radiator hose I ordered . $38.00 extra to ship 2m of hose and I already paid $17.30 . This comes after a message 10 days ago saying that they only had 1m of hose and not the 2m that I ordered , I told them I was willing to wait for more to arrive in stock . I suspect that they were trying to get out of honouring the deal from the beginning . I told them to refund my money . I've now wasted 10 days that I could have sourced the hose from elsewhere . I won't be bothering them with my business ever again . Ken

For that much money you can just get some silicone hose.

Sorry to hear about that. And here I thought they had improved their shipping prices. The worst thing a shop can ever do is charge additional shipping fees after an order was placed. Meaning the shop did not do its home work regarding shipping prices. Happened to a friend of mine here in Japan when he wanted to order a pipe at SIP. They wanted additional 100+ euro for shipping which is ridiculous.
I am mostlikely about to face the same fate soon. Ordered a clutch in the UK and shipping was like 18 GPB which is not bad at all but the shop has a certain reputation aquired in the web from people telling all kinds of stories. And it's been 3 days since I placed the order and they haven't shipped it out yet even though they assured me via e-mail that they have 2 pcs sitting on the shelf.
Well, I guess it is time to look for alternatives. Order at Racing Planet Germany, not US, not UK but Germany. When you are browsing their store you can see their shipping price near the header and that price won't change 100%. It's a flat rate no matter what you order. The only question is do they sell those clear radiator hoses? I believe so.

You realize that that is only rated for 150 degrees Fahrenheit? I run real close to that all the time on dual radiators and I've spiked at over 200 once when I was low on radiator juice.

When I went to get the brake lines made they had silicone hose exactly like what Ryan had sent me and it was like 3 dollars a foot. Could have been 6 dollars a foot, but even then, at 12 feet that's still less than 80 dollars.
