I bought a valve adjusting tool from NYC Scooter Parts. www.nycscooterparts.com/The tool is part number NYCSP0051. Cost is $32.99. Similar tools on Amazon go for $35 to $80. This is a 2 in 1 tool. The outer socket is to loosen or tighten the nut that holds the adjuster. The inner tool holds the adjuster. This tool from NYC Scooter Parts is thick metal, really sturdy (not flimsy and won't break the first time you use it) and well made. This is a really easy tool to use and I had both of my valves adjusted in 1 minute (not counting removing the valve cover and putting the valve cover back on) with no swearing or dropped wrenches. To use the tool, put the outer socket on the nut, put the inner wrench on the adjuster, hold the inner wrench with one hand and loosen the nut with the other hand. Once adjusted, hold the inner wrench from moving and tighten the nut with the outer socket. Really easy. Pic of valve adjusting tool, the outer socket that goes on the nut is a part of the main handle, the inner wrench is the piece with the 90 degree bend; Pic of the outer wrench and inner wrench; Pics of the tool adjusting the valve lash; This is a tool that is worth the money, especially for less frustration while adjusting valves. NYC Scooter Parts is owned by tvnacman, a member of 49ccScoot.com. Shipping was real fast.
