So now that its running i spend that fall getting used to riding it and simply enjoying it. Garage kept for the winter and spring arrives. Ordered koso variatar from scrappys with 6g sliders and a new belt. Helped alot for hills i deal with in my area. Im only 5'6 and 145lbs so the 6g's worked good for me. Long time friend of mine buys a radical toy himself so i suddenly have a riding partner. Outrider alfa. Scoot always had a vibration to it and i thought rear wheel was out of balance. While out riding with my friend we make a hard stop at one point and scoot shuts down. Wont fire right away but eventually does and rear tire is spinning soon as it fires. Something isnt right. Limp it to another friends shop(where i did the initial teardown and rebuild). Pull cvt cover off and clutch assembly out to find that a clutch shoe had snapped. I bet this might have been my vibration. Forced upgrade time. Another call to scrappy and got the hoca clutch/bell/pulley kit. Really didnt want to separate the assembly so i bought the whole kit to be done with it. Blue clutch and yellow contra springs. Here is the old clutch New clutch in and we are off n riding again. Seats torn and not very comfortable so off goes the ugly seat and new all black softer seat replaces it. Now its time to do some paint work and puff this thing up a bit Side panels and front fender now looking alot better. This is during last yr(2016). Replaced the mirrors also but will have to get a closer pic of those tomorrow and try to get the updates actually up to date lol

As promised here is a close up of the mirror. Found them at monsterscooterparts for about $20 and decided to order them and see what i get lol turns out its $$ well spent in my opinion They sit just a bit lower than the stockers but for my height they sit almost perfect and dont move around like my originals did. This is now entering last fall and im at lowes snooping around and happen to find this piece of pipe in plumbing section and thought hmmmm wonder if this would fit on the "hog" Thought this would look good seeing an open filter coming out over the cvt but what type of jet tuning am i in for. The carb i got from scrappy had an 82 jet wich worked good with pod filter on the carb. Pipe was same size as carb inlet and pod fit nicely on the pipe. 1st test with it seemed ok untill about 30mph then it hits the lean wall. Ok time to by a few jets and see what happens. Wish i had timea to compare with but i dont. I got the pipe working quite well with an 88 jet and needle all the way up. Gives it a nice growl sound also and simply looks quite cool to me so im very happy with that experiment. I was willing to sacrifice an extra 1-2 secnds on my 0-30 times if it worked but with my cvt set up coupled with this i can reach 30+mph in less than a block in town

You could try some 4g sliders in the NCY to get RPM up. Could mix with 6g to be equivalent to 5g as well if needed.

Would i be better off with lighter wieghts or lighter contra spring. Clutch has "1500" spring in it now. It accelerates decent to 25-30ish but ya can feel the shift change where it "hits" that upper gear and the rpms go from 6500ish to 8500ish. Is that wieght issue or spring?

Softer contra springs will lower revs. Stiffer ones raise RPM. Very stiff springs make the CVT harder to service. I prefer something like a 1000RPM contra spring and then tune the weights. That is usually stiff enough to keep the belt under control for me, and not so stiff that I lose speed.
