I've had the idea for a while and thought id go for it. After some trial and error, 2 weeks now with 0 issues. Battery to relay module ($4 AutoZone) the relay only allows power to the converter module when the key is in the on position. to Autek DC Converter Buck Module 12V to 5V USB output power adapter. ($8) AmazonTo 3ft USB micro charging cable to Tomo M2 External Power Bank Battery Charger. ($16) Amazon ( If you are not familiar with 18650 safety I highly recommend a standard power bank ) The TOMO has 1 and 2A USB output. It uses 2X 18650 flat top batteries. I chose this power bank because I had some 18650s laying around. Any USB power bank would work though. The bank itself is held onto the trunk-lid with 2x 1 inch wide elastic straps. The straps are glued onto the lid in rings, allowing me to remove the bank when needed. I used foam weather stripping at the charging cable insert points to help absorb vibration and slow down wear. I tried several types of glue but with the extream vibration common to scoots, hard glues fail quickly. I dug up some E6000 ($4 Walmart) I had for repairing work boots and it worked perfectly. Great hold, flexible and waterproof. With this setup, I'm able to charge my phone or wireless headphone or anything that's USB charging compatible without having the scoot running. I just swap the USB cable end to the bank and micro end to what I'm charging. it's working great for me and may give some ideas to anyone looking to do something similar.
