I figured out that 5.25g or 5.5g rollers work the best (and to think I used to never understand why 0.X weights of rollers like 5.5 and 6.3 were made). The powerband is a little different than I initially thought. It seems to like high 7,000 to low 8,000 RPM the best and those rollers keep it there for me. It's still not fast up top, but it does take off decent. I think I'm gonna have to find a hill or tuck down because I'm just not gonna be happy till I see 50MPH outta this thing somehow.
More issues... I went to turn on the headlight and it sounded like a 2-step. SOmehow the lighting circuit is interfering with the charging circuit. I stripped down the panels and looked for anything chaffed. Nothing. I started separating wires to keep ignition and lighting apart where I could. No luck. I finally replaced the stator. It blew the low beam when I turned it on, but it never interfered. I replaced the bulb and the headlight came on and seemed OK so I wanted to take a quick spin before the next patch of rain came in. I pulled out and once I opened the throttle to get the revs up a little the headlight started flashing from normal to ultra-bright and blew out. I tried to switch to the high beam and it was already gone too.
My harness has 2 connectors for stators. One is 3 large prongs. The ground wire enters from the old stator, but ground is removed from the scooter's harness. This new stator uses the other. It's a 4 prong with only 3 prongs. Ground does go through to the other side of that. I'm wondering if for some reason ground should not pass between my stator and scooter harness. I don't think I have any more headlight bulbs though, so it doesn't really matter right now.

I looked into a voltage regulator system for these scoots and its a funky setup that only a china trained electronics engineer would understand,my CPI gives me the same troubles too,now am running a headlite bulb from a pontiac sunfire,bright,but dont know how long it'll last..

I had that happen with the new stator that came with my new engine, it used the same plugs though. I ended up switching out to the old one. The new one had a toasted smell when I checked it out. Same smell a computer power supply has when it blows. Hope you can get bulbs local, I had to wait on mine twice before I had it sorted out.

I can't get these bulbs local that I know of. I've had bulbs flash and go out at high rpm before on another scoot and a regulator fixed it. I'll try one, but considering I just put in a new stator I'd think the problem is there.

The second time I ordered 3 extra just in case ;D Though the regulator tested both AC & DC with a voltometer, should not read AC, tried a new regulator, but the problem was my new stator. You may be able to test your parts without a new bulb by testing the regulators voltage too.

I had 5 spare bulbs at the beginning of the month. lol 1 for a customer, 1 for the Venus, 1 for the SunL just a week ago (blew out uhhh "normally") and 2 yesterday. I'll definitely be ordering spares! I should probably test... but my multimeter also went up 2 weeks ago and I still need to replace it too. I've got an old analog meter, but it's not so good for this stuff. When it rains, it... floods.

I re4placed the stator with the same style it had. Still interferes with the light on. I noticed it doesn't do it if I get going and am cruising at high revs. This just happened to start when my battery started acting up. My battery shows 12.5V, but when I crank the engine it drops to 3V. It's obviously had it. Not so sure that isn't the issue.

I put T1's battery in and it still did it. I swapped rectifiers and it still did it. I swapped CDIs and it quit. I just did that because I had one around, didn't really expect it to work. Back to 1 running scoot.

Are there any diodes in your electrical set up? When I had the stator issue that was one of the first things I was told to look for. There may be one or a couple, they work by controling the amount of electrical flow, like a faucet. ( I have no diodes, so you may not either. ) Electrical bites It seemed to start when you changed stators though right?

Oh, when I said "it quit" when i changed CDIs... I meant the interference quit. I actually just got back from a 40 mile ride on it with no trouble. ;D

It's just easier that way with electrical stuff if you've got parts around.
I forgot to mention I checked the gas mileage last night when I filled up. It used to get 80MPG +/- a couple MPG. I'm hoping I forgot that I changed jets and wasted some fuel or didn't get it all the way full last time or something like that... 1.15 gallons... 37.90miles... 33MPG. I had to have forgot something or maybe I reset the trip odometer after I had already rode it. I could see 60MPG with the bigger carb and having to be hard on the throttle to keep good speeds, but 33 has to be way off for some reason.

Yup, that is how you fix a computer too 33mpg? My car does that, has to be a mistake with the trip meter

I checked the mileage again tonight. I tried to be a little easier on it and ended up with .69gal over 36.53miles for roughly 53MPG. I'm not sure what's up with the carb tuning though. It was acting rich at WOT. I could back off a little and go faster and it had a rich sound and feel to it. I did a plug check after about 1 mile WOT last night. The plug showed lean. "Guess I was wrong." I swapped the 120 main for a 125. hen it was horribly rich and popping. OK, so I shoulda paid attention to instincts and not the plug chop. I stuck a 115 in and it's better than the 120 or 125, but I still don't get full potential at WOT. I'm not sure if I'm still too rich or if the carb is just too big.
I've got another issue now too, but it's nearly 1AM and I've been riding for the last 2 1/2hrs so I'm too lazy to get pics right now.
