Just imagine what's happening inside the injectors themselves. When the engine stops a small amount of fuel is still in the injector's, just sitting there full up with drunk bacteria making their acidic piss. .
There one, and inky one place I can get pure gas or AV fuels. That's a small semi private airport about an hiyr and a half away from me, and its for sure not close to cheap. When 87 is at 3$ a gallon, you can bet the same grade pure is closer to 4 or 5. I've seen the pure 91 at six fifty a gallon, and people filling drums, anticipating a price hike.

Living in Iowa, one of the biggest farm welfare states in the country, I can safely say ya'll getting screwed 3 way from Sunday from fuel to food.
But we can still get pure gas up to 91 fairly easily because the boys with the power toys have just as much clout in Iowa. And most people in Iowa outside of the metro areas know ethanol just plain sucks.

Great. While the drunk little suckers are getting piss drunk and having fun, we gotta finance their destructive partying! lol. Great read Franken. Ya, the politicians are hard party animals. Meet Mr. Chip Baltimore (R), state rep from Boone, Iowa. Mr. Baltimore was a staunch opponent of a certain plant being used as medicine, even by terminally ill humans. He got popped for drunk driving at 3AM, twice the legal limit. Mr. Baltimore is also the chief counsel for a local bank that counts a large number of corporate welfare farm clients, and has a been a staunch supporter of farm welfare and ethanol. Mr. Baltimore, sadly, has announced an end to his fledgling political career, and will not be seeking re-election, probably because he seems reluctant to say what strip joint he was coming home to his wife and family from...

actually he got a deferred sentence, no jail time and probation, a few years ago the state went after a terminal cancer patient for growing cannabis and making CBD to treat some of the nastier effects, persecuted him to his grave.
Next year Iowa handed a couple million in corporate welfare to the booze industry.

Diggin around, looked into the "thought" of running E85 in my 2 stroke. Thought was, i can run a tank out in an hour of riding and would store it empty. Did you know that most 2 stroke oils dont emulsify in alcohol? They separate nearly instantly. If you find a 2t oil that mixes, its roughly $120 a gallon. Some thoughts online were to run 16-1 biodiesel with E85. Too much work and hunting for me to try running it.
So dont run ethanol on a 2 stroke unless you want to blow a conrod in 5 minutes or less...
Edit - 16 parts e85 to one part biodiesel. I'd run it in a weed whip i didnt care about, but not a scoot where my life was on the line.

Gosh i am happy that in the netherlands most gasoline doesn't contain ethanol. just a few gas stations sell it its called blue one 95.
regular is just euro 95 and premium is euro 98 which are already pretty high octane fuel's
Here gasoline (euro 95) cost's $5.55 a gallon. how much is it in your country?

Around here, its $2.35-$2.45 per gallon, minnesota subsidizes ethanol though, so 90% of our fuel contains "up to 10%" ethanol. If you opt for e30, its $2.00 per gallon. Premium non-oxy non ethanol is $2.79/gal
